KM now no longer favourite for Brighton!
at 09:48 22 May 2024

If all twtd’ers put £5 on Farioli he’d come into about 1/50 and then the market would suspend. Money well spent I’d say given the carnage on here the last few days!

OMFG when will people start to realise how the odds work on a manager betting market.

The liquid on a manager market is less than 0.001% of that of a Ipswich game for example. As such any small bet drastically moves the markets. That is because the max stake on such markets is so small because the bookies cannot afford to allow big stakes in case people are in the know. So when a max bet of just £5 comes in it alters the odds. It's basically a 'fun' betting market.

It was me betting on Farioli that bought his odds in thus making the algorithm make McKenna drift.

People seem hell bent on looking at the odds and putting 2 and 2 together but in this specific market it simple doesn't work like that.

I am a professional gambler and many times before have manipulated betting markets with much more liquidity in order to make profits so please please for the love of god all do yourselves a favour and do not look at the odds if it's going to cause you misplaced anxiety.

Poch gone at Chelsea
at 20:01 21 May 2024

This one is much much much more of a concern. Because if Chelsea want him imho he is far more likely to give up what he has here for Chelsea whereas he wouldn't for Brighton.

I bet on Farioli at Skybet and BetVictor to make the odds change. I can bet again to lower the odds of him and thus increasing McKenna's odds if it will make you even more comfortable!?

Wow finally a sensible answer. I have made a few trades and bet for others to get the Brighton job at the soft bookmakers today just to change the prices in the hope it curbs a new thread every hour with people worrying looking at the odds.

It does. I am a professional gambler and have been for many years. You’d be surprised how often my bets can change the odds on markets with much more liquid than a manager market.

It’s just frustrating seeing so many messages about this when the odds mean next to nothing.

Trust me. It really is.

I could take 10 minutes explaining exactly why but I think it would be lost on you.

I could go and put on £20 right now and change the price further. These threads of the odds really are incredibly pointless and unhelpful. It puts fear into those that don't understand how betting markets work.

Don't care where they are at present,
at 23:20 20 May 2024

How ironic.

Many posters said they were happy the season was over despite the success so they could relax and be stress-free about football for a while. Many also said they wouldn't be on here for a month or 2.

Yet, here we are and most are more stressed than during the run-in. And this about something we absolutely can do nothing about. So let's just see what happens.

FWIW I would be shocked if he even considered going.

No need for that. You are suggesting every person of faith follows everything their faith tells them too. That's not the case.

I can confirm SM doesn't drink.

Also he and Ali AH went to Dubai instead of Vegas.

On a serious note you’d think he probably drops in conversation at some point that Davis is worth a look for the Euros.

Good watch on Netflix
at 21:33 11 May 2024

Good watch....you have to be joking! Maybe that is because I am scarred.

I went to that game after paying a ridiculous amount of money to see England for the first time, I was so excited.

I got to London midday and it was so clear what was going to happen.

With a country with a higher percentage of morons than most and Policing that is beyond inept and weak it was a disgrace. How no one died I do not know.

It was so bad that because there were drunk and drugged morons sitting next to me after getting in for free I found myself desperately wanting Italy to win....that was the state of it. I didn't want to see so many English hooligans happy.

I complained afterwards and got front row seats to a Tyson Fury fight.

Signings.....we don't need as many as some seem to think.
at 22:52 9 May 2024

I think we’ll sign 6-8. But like I say as for starting 11 I’m anticipating 1st game no more than 2 or 3.l new players. It will be fun seeing exactly what happens.

at 20:21 9 May 2024

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think it's a case of less is more for a number of reasons.

The way we play and have everyone so dialled in I believe despite it being a huge step up we will make it. Don't forget Plymouth finished above us last year and yet in the higher division we were a million times better than them. A lot of that is to do with the tactical nous of KMc and the players to carry it out.

Don't forget back when we went up as the play-off winners we only had 1 new signing that was a regular in the Hermanator. We finished 5th. The jump in quality was huge back then also but we had a great bunch of players all knowing the system, parallels to this time around also.

Look at Leverkusen. Player for player they don't have the best squad in Germany but team ethos and tactics mean they do have the best team. Football at the moment feels very innovative from a tactical standpoint and we have the man at the absolute forefront of that.

I am not naive enough to think we don't need any signings and we really could do with Hutchinson because he knows exactly how this team works and there will be others but I'd be surprised if there is more than 2 or maybe 3 new faces in the starting 11 come kick of in our first game.

(There are all kinds of stuff on YT right now but this is a smart man that explains exactly how we have done it and McKenna's style and is a great watch if you have a spare 15 mins)

So, which game are we most looking forward to?
at 20:53 7 May 2024

Probably Everton away also for the same reasons....plus a realistic chance of a result there.

Incidentally will priority for tickets roll over from this season for home games and away games been to this season affecting the ability to get tickets next.....

Until fixtures are released if anyone was wondering. Got a hunch will be Man Utd at home. What isn’t in doubt is it will be covered by Sky and won’t be a Saturday 3pm KO.

Your 5 favourite league games this season
at 22:23 5 May 2024

Yesterday has to be the best for me. An occasion no one will ever forget.

Sunderland away - Away at a big ground the games we seem to struggle over the years even when doing well. Felt different now.

Southampton home - The late drama and realising we still very much in the hunt.

Blackburn home - The sheer amount of goals and drama.

Coventry away - In my my mind was pretty much home and hosed after that result.
