Yes in hindsight is was stupid of me to mention it. I didn’t think certain people would get out of their pram about it. I didn’t actually think it was breaking the rules. Taking a season ticket off a friend that can’t make it (happens all the time) and then showing my gratitude by gifting them an away ticket……I couldn’t fathom there would be folk out there thinking that’s worthy of wasting peoples time and reporting it.
You called it a bad move and swore while doing so, so to me that came across angry.
Saying there is nothing different to 2 friends that have been almost ever present for decades maybe swapping home/away tickets to those 1 game wonders from last year buying them and putting them on well know ticket sites purely to make profits really is too much. Blimey.
Wow...just wow. Me and a friend might swap an away for a home ticket making no difference to anyone. Meanwhile tickets for every single game will be on sites like Stubhub etc for big sums going to Youtubers and non ITFC fans......I'd point your anger towards the people that will be involved in that rather than someone swapping a ticket. Jesus.
I think I thought if it did happen tickets still wouldn't be so hard to get as they now will be. Pre and post covid times we'd be there in completely empty blocks sitting with our legs over the seat in front of us. Oh well like I say have ourselves to blame even if it was just naivety on our part.
Good question! Was just too naive and didn't cross my mind we'd be in this situation.....me and 2 friends are in the same boat and clearly all as daft as each other
Excuse me? So if there is a home game I'd like to go to and an away game a friend would like to go to and we get each others tickets that is a issue for you? (Meanwhile tickets will be on stubhub etc for all games) Everything that is going on in the world these days and it's things like that which annoy you....strewth indeed.
Of course we will be signing more players but 1 thing most people seem to forget/dismiss is that most new seasons a youngster that not everyone has heard of comes from nowhere to be a full part of the first team squad. That could well happen this year.
In all my years of supporting Ipswich it has never been easier to get away tickets than home, yet here we are in a situation where my expected tickets might be 19 vs 5/6 in favour of away. That can't be right. After going to 10 away games last season I am on 20 points so hopefully good for most if not all aways. Have been to 95% of homes last 4/5 years but never bothered with a ST...more fool me! But I never thought it would come to this.
What I am still struggling to understand is the 1 game minimum for the ballot when a few days later the last 75% of tickets are a free for all. So unless I'm missing something the ballot is futile. Some smart people had plenty of time to come up with this so why would the threshold not be more like 10 games? That way non ST holders that have attended often get to a few more games at least. Surely by having a ballot it's designed to give the loyal fans a extra chance....but that's not the case if the threshold is 1. It's just creating more admin, I can't see the purpose.
It's crossed my mind to get every away ticket possible and then trying to find people that on occasion would be happy to swap a home game for a away with me. Seems bizarre if it would come to that but at the moment seems a viable option.
Indeed that seems like a must. Not many people go on their own. By having a ballot for single seats only that is a sure fire way to allow touts to get their hands on them to re-sell them.
Some of the people indeed are as you say, and granted there are some nice places. I have been lucky enough to travel all over and many towns and cities are run down, not looked after and down right depressing. I wish I had your outlook on this country.
For me when I was young I was proud to be English. However the massive decline in the last couple of decades that sees Was England as the horrible place it is today makes me less proud, therefore I’m less bothered about us winning. That’s not a reflection of the players I might add. Add that to the fact we really don’t deserve to be in the final with the luck and tedious football and I’m not too fussed at all.
I hope you don't mean 'sneaking' into the game? I was at the Euro '21 final when the vile scum stormed in, got in illegally whatever you want to call it, and it made it one of the worse days of my life. I hope the Germans are able to Police better than what our mob did that day.
I'd rather we got him also but I think Greaves was the more important signing and as a better chance of being that 50M players next year. We''ll just be in for a similar type player to billy jean so it's no drama.
I concur....too many fans see the numbers for last season and were excited based on that alone. Anyone feeling different got downvoted.....which would make me chuckle if indeed KmC isn't interested.
Surprise surprise he brings Kane off and one chance needed and a goal. It’s wasn’t a great sub because it should have been done earlier and all this proves is he’s got it wrong in all the previous games. It’s one of the reasons we’d previously been so laboured. And worryingly despite all the evidence he will still start with his mate Kane in the final.
