You're not alone, I literally did this yesterday - my kids love it!

I had forgotten the Omari song though, so thank you

Agree with others on there not being many 'bad' places to sit.

I've sat in various parts of the ground the last two seasons with my nine year old and my 7YO came on Saturday as well. We sat fairly high up in the corner of the SAR and despite having sat there loads of times I quickly realised what a poor sight line to the goal at that end my daughter had. Same thing applies to the side stands really, if you're taking a child then being fairly 'front on' to the action is definitely preferable as when they have to look diagonally across a sea of heads at the action - particularly if people stand up when an attack develops - they literally can't see a thing!

Songs we should bring back.

The great escape tune for me, ending with a rousing shout of 'Ipswich'!

I remember an away game at Watford in the late 90s where we somehow lost despite being much the better team and it genuinely felt like we sustained the chant for the entire first half.

I reckon Christophe Berra might be the most recent?

Williams....

I think the point in the OP about Clarke's on-going injury problem is pretty pertinent.

A signing of this quality allows Clarke to go under the knife, rather than 'managing' his injury and nursing him through to the Jan window. (An assumption on my part that this is required, but the talk over the summer suggests this might be the best course of action)

Davis is the first name on the teamsheet, but that right hand side is up for grabs. Williams' versatility allows us to let Leigh leave, Clarke to have a spell on the treatment table and still have Davis, Janoi, Williams and Ball as four good fullback options.

Looks pretty shrewd business to me and the sort of signing that has served us well in recent seasons - essentially plucking players from the division above who can help to take us another step forwards in our journey.

I'm all for this one and excited at the prospect of Williams and Davis bombing forward on either flank!

Yeah it's a funny one with Jackson. He was a great outlet for us last night and timed his runs really well.

Usually he is very good at picking people out with a low cut back from those areas but his end product wasn't great last night. As another poster pointed out though, Luton were back in numbers very quickly and often it is Chappers who finds space in the 18 yard box to be picked out - he was off at half time and Hutchinson was somewhat more 'enigmatic' in his role!

I don't see Jackson much of a downgrade on Burns in truth. I can see us looking to upgrade on both of them in one of the next two windows though for someone with a better combination of pace and finesse.

Really good assessment and find myself agreeing with a lot of it.

I liked what I saw of Ball at RB right up until the point that Ogbene moved over to that side and started roasting him for pace. Until then I felt he looked like a good understudy RB, but clearly not as good a 1on1 defender as Clarke or Janoi.

It felt like yesterday really showed both the depth of the squad and the weaknesses within that depth. I felt Harness, Edwards, Leigh, Hutchinson all showed that they are more than capable understudies, while Evans and Edmundson showed that they are probably done here. So far off the pace, sadly.

Jackson flattered to deceive - we used his pace well but he then didn't use the ball very well and hit the first man four times in a row when we were on top early in the second half.

I've glossed over the first half, which is unfair as with our strongest available side, we were much, much better than Luton. A lot to be encouraged by, including how well we dealt with their set pieces and general aerial threat - Walton was key to this as he came and claimed the first two high balls.

All in all, really pleasing and would have been a win and clean sheet but for Edmundson's aberration towards the end.

I think you've skipped a month Keno! Think the next one was Morecambe at home - infamous for the return of Keogh from the shadows and Clarke's blistering full debit!
