I met up with Lucan in Amsterdam a few years ago, just for a quick lunchtime beer
Things went spectacularly downhill very rapidly.... far too many beers, far too much Genevere
Lucan was exceptionally good company and bless him, he even made sure I got back to my hotel safely
And, as many here have said, a very amusing and unique poster |

When Wolves were falling apart last year they made a very good choice for their replacement manager and he steered them to safety

Many years ago a friend of mine was organising a benefit concert and someone gave her Ozzy's phone number
She called him and apparently he was charm personified, friendly and helpful. He suggested a few more friends that he could ask to perform too and also mentioned other possible income streams
Sad to report that the gig didn't go ahead, but I always remember the reports of his kindness

Not just the fact that we were being sold something that was already ours....
It was also the madness of the underpricing of the initial sale
BT shares were selling for double on the Stock Exchange less than a week after issue as small investors were cashing out for the quick win. Share-Owning democracy, my arse.
Royal Mail shares were selling for double less than 48 hours after the initial issue
While the geniuses ( Genii ?) who dreamt up the whole racket were patting themselves on the back for a job well done
