Yes, I think Norwich wanted it more. However, some poor refereeing in this one. Both ways, but majority of decisions went with home team. Clear free kick for Al Hamadi on edge if box. There is no way he would go down deliberately in that situation. Alex clearly made a great tackle and got the ball - obvious live and in replays. The clumsy shove on Hutch was a clear pen even though Hutch ‘played for it’ - outside the area a free kick would have been given by 100% of refs! Compare it to Chaplin’s comical fall-over that earned him a soft free kick in midfield. The only one that the ref spotted was Sargent’s attempt at cheating. That dive should have been a booking because the ref clearly saw that it was a dive and the replay confirmed it. Sargent successfully conned the ref for the free kick from which they scored. However Morsy grabbed his shorts after he started falling. I think that probably gave the ref an excuse to give it. Sargent reminded me of Grant Holt when he cheated Norwich to victory a few years ago. I think Ipswich fans wouldn’t tolerate a Norwich-style striker whose main attribute is impressive simulation skills. |

Was looking forward to seeing him back in the team but will hope he has better luck from now on. |

Very exciting signing. This guy has been overlooked by other clubs. I just know he is going to be amazing. |
| News Comment | Charlton Confirm Ladapo Loan Move at 20:44:33
Freddie had to go. He is a model pro and has a first class character but will want to play regularly and that will only happen in Div 1. Jackson might continue to surprise us, let’s hope. I think a striker will come in. Probably Keiffer Moore and a young prem striker on loan. That might not be good enough to get us top 2 or win play-offs. Good recruitment in the summer might be necessary. It’s going to be a great season whatever happens. |

Another step in the right direction. My daughter is a footballer and I am very proud that my club is taking the women’s game seriously. It’s it incredibly inspiring for young girls to hear that this is happening. Well done to Ashton and everyone else at Town! |

Age is irrelevant. Give a 33 year old a chance to make the prem. That’s pretty motivating. Looks like a very sound move if it happens. KM will also know that he has the right character. And that’s more important than raw talent. Harry Clarke is a good example. |
| News Comment | Travis Loan Signing Confirmed at 09:56:33
5.5 full seasons in championship with Blackburn. In three of those he played over 40 matches. 42 last season, 45 season before. Battling defensive midfielder aged 26. Wants to play for Town. Hmmm, can’t work out why KM would want him. |
| News Comment | Tomasson: No Problem With Travis at 19:35:54
I guess this might mean that someone is leaving. Perhaps Ball is going to go unless he is covering centre half ? |
| News Comment | Schumacher: Red Card a Little Bit Unnecessary at 10:14:49
Refs have become inconsistent. For instance a Stoke player very clearly and obviously kicked a ball away in frustration. I thought refs were ordered to give a yellow. No discretion? Then near the end they were given a couple of soft free kicks for falling over when touched. Refs are supposed to let that go. Then a clear shirt pull on woofenden in their penalty area prevented him from getting the ball (clearly seen from where I was at the side of the pitch, and right infront of the linesman). Though I have never rated Jackson, for some reason defenders can do absolutely anything to him and the ref is never interested. Same was happening to Hirst. This league would only suit forwards in the Akinbiyi/ Traoré mould who are stronger than any centre half. Players con the ref by throwing themselves down when they feel a touch on their back, free kick usually still given despite the obvious deception. Both arms round a player and wrestled to the ground, acceptable contact ! Sadly I have to say that VAR would improve the Championship if the refs can’t improve. |
| News Comment | Stoke City 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 18:50:43
Good result. I was in Stoke family stand because couldn’t get away ticket. (No one in that area even wears red!). I felt that our away support was a bit quieter than Normal. Still, impressed that we could probably sell 5000 away tickets for every game. It’s always entertaining (more nail-biting perhaps) with us playing out from back, so even a nil-nil is never dull! After a shaky start, Axel started to really enjoy his role. Very impressed with Edmundson. How does he not play for ages and come in a look like he’s always been there !? Definitely will not leave. Wolfie was great again. Thought Broadhead should perhaps have started as centre forward and not bother with Jackson/Ladapo. We had a real go at getting a winner in the second half. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Certainly Won't Have Everyone Back at 09:39:01
You could tell that Williams wasn’t well but perhaps had covered it up to get a start. He might do better if he plays against Stoke. Broadhead will be ok for the bench hopefully. Burns had the illness earlier so expect him to be ok. If Leif is back in then we have enough to win it. If not and we are struggling then we have players who keep battling and hopefully we get us a point. KM looked very unhappy with the poor passing and interceptions at QPR. Expect that to improve at Stoke. |

MA/KM will have a recruitment plan to make us a Prem team just as they did to make us a Championship team. Tougher job due to financial constraints. They definitely won’t be wanting another season in the Champ to build a team! If KM had thought Scarlett was any good he would have put him on for the last 20 of every match instead of Ladapo. Spurs will sell him to a div 1 team. There will definitely be some exciting signings. Two strikers, one midfielder, one centre half and possibly even a full back. Out will go: Walton, Jackson, Ladapo, Donacien, Williams, Ball(?), either on frees or nominal fees apart from Walton who aught to be worth a couple of million. The draw against QPR was a good result. A point against Stoke will also be satisfactory. Hope Buabo is fit to come on again and obviously Ladapo has to start in his last Town game. |

| News Comment | Portsmouth Boss Tight-Lipped on Edmundson Link at 10:56:39
Ball will be backup at centre half if Edmundson goes? Edmundson will have asked to go because he hasn’t been used and isn’t in KM plans. KM won’t let him go until the summer unless he is happy with Axel, Wolfie and Ball. Or a prem CH is coming in on loan. This would be better for long term plans as this team is a very good championship team but a long way from being a prem team. |
| News Comment | Ashton: We Won't Execute Cobbold Stand Plan Until the Time is Right at 22:56:39
People talk about all the money that prem clubs get but it doesn’t seem to do them much good. The relegated prem clubs like Norwich seem to be struggling. No one expected our players would be better than their’s. I suspect owners/investors are creaming loads of the cash into their pockets otherwise we would have no chance against Leicester, Leeds, Norwich etc. |
