 | News Comment | Probert Leaves Town For Liverpool Role at 15:33:13
I got to know Gary pretty well. He is one of the smartest, most knowledgeable people I have met in football. He was involved from first team though scouting through Academy, men's and women's sides of the club. No-one is ever irreplaceable, but he must come pretty darn close. I'll miss him patiently explaining micro tactical changes that turn matches around! |
 | News Comment | Town Women and U21s to Play at Colchester at 12:19:25
Sad to have to leave Felixstowe, but inevitable given the WSL2 requirements. ColU is a similar distance for many (sadly, twice as far for me...), and has a vast car park / easy access to the A12. Stadium will give us room to grow, more shelter & seats. If only the sweet shop could operate a pop-up. And, the big news, is our intent to build our own 2nd stadium! |
 | News Comment | Delap Release Clause £30m at 16:51:33
Does that mean no club need bid more than £30m? In the end if one bid £30m and another £60m, he could choose to join the club who offered the release amount? |
 | News Comment | Town Women Made to Wait After Defeat to Watford at 12:39:35
It can't bd settled next weekend unless Hashtag fail to beat Exeter at home (quite possible). Although our GD is massively better, officially we would have to wait until we cannot be caught. Even if it would require a 30-goal swing!!! |
 | News Comment | Town Women Host Gwalia Aiming to Cement Top Spot at 00:34:38
Tomorrow essentially seals promotion, if we win. Only Gashtag could catch us, and they have 2 tough fixtures to go - Exeter h and Oxford a. We still have MK a, and losing that would even less likely than Fabio Wardley being knocked out by Ed Sheeran. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town Women 3-1 Plymouth Argyle Women - Match Report at 22:16:51
Good performance today, against an improved Plymouth side. Promotion looks pretty much secured, after Gwalia's win (note, we beat them 2-0 away last week and face them in Felixstowe next week). 2 wins and we've done it, given our goal difference. |
 | News Comment | Al-Hamadi: Stoke Loan Move a Perfect Fit at 13:26:36
Er, 2 in 7 v 7 in 26 are near-as-not identical records. Both are fine if other players are contributing goals, especially if the striker is a big part of that (as Hirst was last season) |
 | News Comment | Town Women Back to Second After Draw at Lewes at 23:11:49
That was a tough game. We didn't get the run of the ball and were surely a bit rusty. Moving SP17 into MF didn't work for me, esp as Watson, playing on the right, is left-footed. Yet. They scored on the break, and we hit the woodwork at least 3 times, and had a late penalty shout ignored. Better results will come. |
 | News Comment | Facebook Group Organising Fortuna Trip at 19:57:43
To add, Fortuna have themselves gone the extra mile to make group tickets available for Town fans, recognising the relationship. Fortuna fans have been loyal visitors every January, never missing throughout the crap years. |
 | News Comment | Town Women Beat Oxford to Hit Top of Table at 17:21:05
Huge crowd (971?) and a fabulous performance, especially 2nd half. Lovee that LO'B was announced as MotM and just a couple of mins later scored a worldie, just to reinforce it. |
 | News Comment | Town Women Drawn at Title Rivals Hashtag in FA Cup at 17:37:24
Rubbish draw - away to a team from our own league who beat us in the League Cup... There were so many interesting draws we could have had... Ho hum, let's go away, win and move on up! |
