Axel at LB today?
at 13:13 26 Apr 2025

Can't see too many options. Him or O'Shea seem most likely.

Edit: Greaves is left footed isn't he so perhaps most likely option. Doesn't seem like a natural full back though

Which contracted players could leave in the summer on top of Delap?
at 13:50 22 Apr 2025

If we are going to sell 2 or 3 in addition to Delap, I think Davis would make most sense. I don't think his value is going to get any higher and if we could get in region of £15m for him would be great business. We have Townsend and could pick up another LB on loan.

Id like to keep O'Shea and Omari. I think those two will have most interest amongst the others.

Worst case scenario we lose all 4 of them but hopefully can retain at least one.

I'll go sell Delap (£30m), Davis (£15m) and O'Shea (£15m) which should recoup enough funds to keep us is Ok financial health and help us buy some central midfielders.

SB - When you say his people will try get him out of there, why do you think that? KM seems incredibly level headed so I assume you're saying his agents are more aggressive.

I hope KM stays as we'll have the best manager in the Championship next season if he does. I do think KM though will harbor some regrets about turning down Brighton and Palace to some extent.

You say not many PL jobs will be available but any of Palace, Fulham, Bournemouth or Brentford would be perfect for him and vice versa. It only takes one of those managers to be poached and he'll be under consideration. Personally think Bournemouth would be ideal fit but agree they, and all the other clubs mentioned, may look abroad again.

3. Philogene has signed
4. We don't have to play City again
5. We're only 1 point from safety
6. We were playing the likes of Forest Green just over 18 month's ago
7. Wolves next set of fixtures
8. We've got super Keiran McKenna
9. Norwich are piss poor!

Agree it's fine margins against a team of world stars. Annoying but the odds are stacked against us. Let's keep it below a cricket score and move on. This game on its own won't define out season.

Ways to watch game on TV today
at 09:42 19 Jan 2025

Without having a dodgy box the cheapest way of watching the game (without going the pub) is £15 for a sky day pass. Does anyone know of any cheaper options?

Just to be clear, we still need a striker, right?
at 07:36 15 Jan 2025

I'd go for Josh Maja if he is available for around £10m. Delap is our first choice and will be if he's fit. Hirst is a solid backup but doubts over his fitness. Maja is still young enough that I'm sure KM could improve him. He's also fairly risk free that if we do go down, we sell Delap and then we have Maja and Hirst for the Championship. It's going to be very hard to get an upgrade on Hirst in Jan and we have Delap so we just need a upgrade (a big one) on AAH

So you think it's being held up by the player and/or his agent or you think it's actually due to some complexities with the paperwork?

Two game ban for Cunha
at 10:54 31 Dec 2024

It's a bit ridiculous to be honest, especially because them delaying the ban it's resulted in only one league game. Premier League is a joke.

Anyways we need to move on and focus on ourselves. We can't rely on suspensions of players from other teams to help us stay up.

How on earth is Cunha still available!?
at 09:57 29 Dec 2024

Maybe that's the case, but it's such blatant abuse of the rules. Everyone can see there is no grounds for appeal other than to delay the ban.

Look we're probably going down regardless but this manoeuvre by Wolves could effectively be a big factor to 9 points.

I'm famous on here for my predictions and I see them beating Spurs today!

I know we should get over it but the Premier league really is run like a Sunday pub league. How can it take so long?

I think Jack Clarke and Broadhead may be too lightweight from the start. Broady deserves some involvement for sure. I think Smzodics gives us a much better press and goal threat on the break. Really hope Johnson is fit to start. Harry Clarke just isn't good enough at this level for me.

Feels like a game for similar tactics to Spurs. Having no Axel is a huge miss but maybe a back 3 of Greaves Burgess and OShea could be worth a try with Johnson at wing back.

Muric
Oshea Greaves Burgess
Johnson KP Cajuste Davis
Omari Delap Smzodics

They're gona win 4-3!

In all seriousness though, hope they don't get beat too heavily as would like Martin to stay in the job for as long as possible.

Give it time lads. Post works either way to be honest. Saints win and looks wise, Spurs win and it's happy days!

Don't be too downbeat
at 21:39 3 Dec 2024

Yes it's rubbish losing most weeks but you can't fault the players effort tonight, nor the management. The gulf in class is huge and we've done remarkably well to come as far as we can in such a short time. The players need a lift. Big game on Saturday, less enjoy it. There shouldn't be any pressure on us. Less than 3 years ago we were struggling to beat the likes of Wycombe!
