I guess the point is we're 3-4 good championship players short. Cajuste and a striker and it will look much better but still feels we're 3 or 4 short, assuming Omari goes. We still have until the end of August but slightly concerning less than a week out |

No way he's coming here if he's with their squad |

Also says Cajuste about to sign in earlier tweet. Is this guy credible? |

Josh Maja seems an obvious choice for me. He has 1 year left on his deal so wouldn't be too expensive and is proven in the league. Still room for development in him and one who could probably step up to the prem in some capacity |
 | Forum Reply | Why is Hutchinson at 10:56 24 Jul 2025
I expect both sides expect a deal to be done this week so probably not much point him back. I suspect if no deal done by the end of the week he’ll be expected to return next week. |

Young gets us to 29 in the squad. In’s expected - CF at least 1, CM 1/2 and one forward if Omari leaves. That’s going to get us to the 32 ish mark meaning we need to lose 7. Morsy, Slicker and Muric and probably Hutch will all go so that means 4 more need to go or not be registered. Potentially Baggott and Humphrey’s to go out on loan but who else? Harry Clark maybe or Johnson? Broadhead although I think it would be stupid to get rid.Al Hamidi? |

Sounds inevitable that he will leave. Shame but hopefully we stick to our guns on price. Brentford more desperate to buy than we are to sell. |

Phil what's the latest on Omari? Talks continuing? You would have thought given Mbeumo has been announced that they would move quickly to get their man if we're squabbling over a couple of million here or there. |

I understand the concern, it does seem like a lot of change. That said as other posters have pointed out, even if you remove Omari we still can field an incredibly strong line up at this level and with the expectation we will use the money to buy some top quality players. Maybe 3 or 4 more to come in. For example Palmer Johnson O'Shea Greaves Davis Matusiwa New CM Philogene Szmodics Clarke Hirst That leaves, Woolfy, H Clarke, Townsend, Humphries, Burns, Chappers, Ogbene, Broadhead, Walton, Jack Taylor So if we assume Muric, Slicker, Al Hamidi plus Omari leaves plus maybe 1 or two more of the above, then adding 4-5 top players at this level would leave us in a strong position. Also looking at Burnley last season and they seem to have lost 7-8 first teamers and still got almost 100 points. |

Well judging by Saints Twitter he was at their first day of training so doesn't suggest an imminent move. |
 | Forum Reply | Other than the O’Shea new deal…. at 19:58 2 Jul 2025
Slightly worried we wait for these more ambitious deals and they don't materialise. Then leaves us scrambling at the end of the window after a lot of the more likely targets have already been snapped up. |
 | Forum Reply | Cochrane going to Spurs with Frank then (n/t) at 16:30 12 Jun 2025
Phil, do you think this means KMc more likely to be approached? You would have thought if they had serious interest there may have been more noise. But maybe they expected Cochrane to take the role and haven't yet moved on to other candidates. |

What's your gut feeling Joe, do you think he goes? I know people remark about size of club, stadium & fanbase etc but this is the best job McKenna is going to get offered now isn't it. Even if he stays with us and gets us promoted, the best job he can hope for is a lowering mid table prem team. Bournemouth, Brentford, Palace or Fulham if he's lucky. If he is Brentford's choice I just can't see him passing this one up. Particularly he probably reflects on the Palace and Brighton offers now as missed opportunities. The only hope for us, if he goes, is it's still relatively early in the summer to not completely derail us. Danny Rohl is still on the market and he'd be a very good replacement I think. |

If it's going to happen better it happens soon. Danny Rohl'd barmy army! |

Can't see too many options. Him or O'Shea seem most likely. Edit: Greaves is left footed isn't he so perhaps most likely option. Doesn't seem like a natural full back though [Post edited 26 Apr 13:17]
