Tax exile in Ireland according to Wiki. Still has houses in Chelsea and Kingston Upon Thames and a manor house and estate in Cornwall. If he's a tax exile he can only spend a limited time in the UK each year. |

Might be wrong, but I seem to recall Evans lives in Ireland. If so it wouldn't be much of a trip for him, probably a private flight to Manchester. Don't think he'd have been on the coach from Suffolk ðŸ˜. With so much going on (possible takeover, contracts, season tickets plus Cook being fairly new in post) it could have been a good opportunity to discuss it all face to face while taking in a game. |

The thing is he's already failed here. Success was getting us to the Premier League and that's not happening under Evans. Ultimately sounds like most negotiations where it all comes down to money. It's in Evans interests of course to appear a bit unwilling to sell, in order to test how much extra the buyer might be prepared to pay to persuade him. The fact it is still under discussion tells me he would like to sell, he's just trying to maximise his price. I hope that an agreement can be reached. The club desperately needs an investment, not just of cash but of ambition, ideas, and a fit for purpose management structure. Look at smaller clubs like Brentford, they overtook us because of strategy, recruitment, fitness, management not just cash. |

Phil, if Marcus doesn't really want to sell how have we got to a situation where priority searches are in place and the deal is with the EFL for ratification (per your previous info). Muncher has already confirmed that the priority search is highly likely to mean that Evans and Gamechanger have entered into a conditional contract for the sale of the club. Asking for EFL approval also suggests a deal was pretty much done. To get to that stage would suggest Evans had agreed a price. If it does fall through isn't it more likely a funding or ratification issue with the buyer? We are going nowhere fast under Evans 'leadership' and he needs to sell to someone who has the expertise, time, passion and finance to revitalise our great club. I have it on good authority that Gamechanger still want to do this deal (no I'm not revealing my source!) so until we know it's off, I'm keeping the faith. |
