He would be stupid to get rid of Keane both on and off the field..... firstly you have to give manager time to build the squard he wants and secondly as a the businessman Marcus Evans is, think how much publicity he gets from having Roy Keane as Manager. Every time i watch Sky Sports news Keane is on there and half the time it's not even about Ipswich and in the background there is his name....Marcus Evans!!!! Why don't people give him Keane a chance.....first full season and everyone expects him to be a miracle worker. He took over a weak team and is building a team for the future, 'Rome wasn't build in a day' is a saying that comes to mind. If after 3 to 4 seasons still in same position then he wasn't right for the job but you can't say it after a year if that. End of the day why get promotion to the premiership when we will struggle to stay up and see Ipswich lose most home games. I rather stay in Championship and see them win than see them play good teams like chelsea and lose. If i wanted to see the Big premiership teams i will watch them on Match of the day and not pay £25 to see them thrash Ipswich....... |

Totally agree with you BlueChick here ....i think keanes business sense isn't too great you don't see other clubs getting rid of their top joint goal scorer, rather see Wickham go on loan at league 3 club and gain experience but then again he hasn't actually signed full time yet. Just keep fingers crossed that for once Keane business pays off.

Don't get me wrong, Healy is a top striker when is on fire but the big question is when did he actually play a competitive game last and if he is that good at this level then why hasn't he already been snapped up....we all now know how rare a good striker is. I do worry about these two not being match fit and thats why i consider them panic buys as if Keane really did want them why on earth did he not go for them at the start of January or intead of getting Stern John get Healy at the time. I do hope i am so wrong and Healy bangs in a hat trick on debut (if deal goes through of course) |
