 | News Comment | Chaplin's Portsmouth Loan Return Confirmed at 21:35:52
Poor decision, but at least it gives Chappers the chance to play for Pompey against the Saints! As a lifelong Pompey fan I bet he must be relishing it. Just come back next season! |
 | News Comment | Woolfenden Completes Coventry Move at 21:20:39
Another casualty of Demolition Man Mk II 2025 even though his replacement isn't much better. Good luck Woolfy, hope you'll enjoy regular football again at Cov. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: The Most Broken Game I've Been Involved In at 19:35:16
So how are you going to counter teams that play anti-football and the low block? We have been unable to do so since the L1 days, remember the Lincoln, Cheltenham, Morecambe games? If we are vastly superior (we should, after all the obscene spending) then low block or not we should be able to find a way to pick the lock and win. Just like how established PL teams still managed to beat us when we played the low block in the Prem. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-2 Derby County - Match Report at 17:50:38
Shades of the Birmingham again, McK must realise that most teams in this division will come to play anti-football and/or the low block. And ffs cut out the aimless tippy tappy, show some sense of urgency when we need a goal. |
 | News Comment | Town Complete Egeli Signing at 22:35:12
Better and better. Now this is one top signing, definitely the best this window. Can't wait to see him play. WELCOME TO THE TOWN! |
 | News Comment | Town to Sign Norwich Midfielder Nunez at 22:15:16
The skum's best player (besides Sargent, probably) REJECTING a new deal twice and begging to join the mighty Town. You couldn't have made it up! Now we should make a move for Sargent as well... |
 | News Comment | O'Shea: There's Confidence in the Group at 19:55:13
First and foremost Dara, get hold of J Clarke and tell him to wake his blo*dy idea up! Winning or losing a match isn't the endgame, I applauded the team when they lost 3-4 to Leeds at home in 23/24, but I want to see the fight and passion, not players going through the motions! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: All Transfer Windows Are Tough, This Has Had the Most Challenging Situations at 18:00:40
Thought MA was boasting he'd get the deals done early? Obviously it is a challenge signing the right players for the right prices, GC has probably decided to cut costs after the wasteful splurge on players like Muric, J Clarke and Philogene last season all of which to this date have flattered to deceive Also, how did parachute clubs like Burnley, Leeds and even bloomin' newly promoted clubs like Birmingham managed to get their targets in and we are still considering Option C, D and E because A, B and C doesn't want to come? Too picky, aiming too high or just incompetent? |
 | News Comment | Broadhead's Wrexham Move Confirmed at 18:05:27
One of our most naturally talented players, £7.5 up to 10 million is a good price, but I would have sold Clarke before him. Injuries aside I don't know why KM never really rated him after the L1 season. That free kick against Sheff Wed, the Port Vale penalty, equaliser against the Saints, great memories. Once a Blue, always a Blue. |
 | News Comment | Muric's Serie A Loan Confirmed at 09:50:10
Sassuolo will be begging us to take him back in no time. Remember Forest sent him back to Man City after just 4 apps. Beware! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Hutchinson Didn't Feel That He Could Contribute Today at 23:20:13
If Omari is under contract to the club, then isn't it clear and obvious he must play. Otherwise it is a breach of contract, and the club can and should claim damages if he continues to down his tools. Look at how Farke and Leeds dealt with Gnoto. Or even Sargent at the Sc*m, he even scored today. If the club wants to be Mr. Nice Guy (just like what we did to Morsy letting him go for free) without protecting themselves then they are just shooting themselves in their own foot. |
 | News Comment | Bromley 1-1 Ipswich Town (5-4 on Pens) - Match Report at 22:20:24
Parachute club being schooled by a League Two side. As if last weekend wasn't bad enough. I know it's only two games in, but we look more like doing a Luton than a Burnley or Leeds. AAH should not be seen in a Town shirt again. J Clarke, useless again. Wake the fk up! |
 | News Comment | Birmingham City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:15:04
Piss poor performance all round, we were lucky to scrap a point through a last min pen. At times we made Brum look like Man City, being penned in our own half. Midfield non-existent, Clarke, Johnson and Matusiwa invisible. Multiple signings in CM and ST still needed. Massive improvements needed |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Interest in Muric But Nothing to Confirm at 17:00:46
Time to go. For those still supporting Muric, food for thought - in the corporate world, anyone who performed the equivalent of Muric in the workplace would have been fired even before the end of probation. Probably the most useless player under the new ownership - at least Ahadme and Camara didn't cost us points. |
 | News Comment | Edwards: The Ball's in Hackney's Court at 20:31:00
@JewellintheTown Level headed? We had to strengthen in Jan to ensure the best chance of scraping 17th and look who we signed. The past few transfer windows with over-fixation on certain players, deadline day desperation signings coupled with our weak overseas scouting network has resulted in our failure to improve our midfield and strike force. Now with almost the entire midfield gone and only one decent striker how do you think we can be competitive next season? Depend on Jack Taylor and Humphreys? Play Szmodics as a 9? |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Muric Close to Return, Slicker Set For Loan at 14:10:05
@TimmyH playing in a lower league doesn’t absolve him from poor decision making, blanking out during matches and/or lack of communication with the . Yes, he may be punished less, but we are still going to gift goals and points to the opposition for nothing. The cup match v Bristol Rovers last season, at least two major c0ck-ups including punching the ball straight at the Gas striker - if they had more clinical strikers he’d have been made to look very stupid v a L2 side |
