This is not the first political assassination in the US this year, The other ones, of a Democrat and her husband as recently as June have already been forgotten I guess.
We lost a total of 10 games over two full seasons. McKenna and Ashton brought the club back to life, but it has given many fans a sense of entitlement.
To be fair I think the question was about the owners of both clubs who see each as a business and don't share the fans' view of the importance of local derbies.
Clearly the previous owners of Norwich were fans. It is some time since you could say the owners of Ipswich were.
I am glad that McKenna did not take your advice. It would have reflected very badly on him. His management skills are second to none, which is why players respect him so much.
I think other clubs now know what Ipswich want for him, and clearly he is very open to a move to any club that is not a relegation prospect, although he might prefer London. There is now talk about Everton pursuing their interest in him.
Interesting bit of background detail in the Standard article which I had not heard before:
"Hutchinson turned down initial interest from Leeds United and Sunderland as he is wary of being involved in another relegation battle next season. But he doesn’t believe that will be an issue at Brentford."
It was fairly noticeable how in the second half of the season opposition teams quickly surrounded him whenever he got possession. In a higher quality team he would get more space than he did last season.
Brentford have been playing "hard ball" with Man Utd over Mbeumo for several weeks, and he has made it fairly clear that he wants to go to Old Trafford. Ultimately they will have to accept it.
It looks to me that Ashton is also playing hard ball, and Brentford will have to up their offer, or at least the terms oi the offer. As well as reporting that Hutchison is keen on a move, SSN also reported that 'Ipswich have no intention of selling him despite their relegation to the Championship."
