 | News Comment | McKenna: Hutchinson Not Mentally in Right Place For France Trip at 20:43:14
We were never going to spend the kind of money we did last year for obvious reasons, but we should have been prepared to lose Omari, Delap, the loanees and have a few of the older players (Morse/Massimo) move on. We don't seem to as yet have players primed to fill the gaps created. The next days will tell, but I hope we are not going to panic buy like we did a few seasons ago.....however I have to say I'm peeved with players stating they cannot play due to transfer rumours playing with their mental state. Pathetic to be honest. |
 | News Comment | Schwartz Flies Over For Talks With Ashton and McKenna at 21:27:21
Ed Schwartz is an experienced businessman. He was only over here a couple of weeks ago for the Huddersfield game (I shook his hand! lol). Therefore he is most probably here to discuss the McKenna situation. One thing is for certain, he will not be begging KM to stay. He will be ensuring MA has offered KM a generous but proportionate upgrade on his contract, but mostly he will want to know MA's plans for continuity of the project plan the board has set out. It does not, and should not, hinge on KM being at the club. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We're Going to Assess One or Two in the Morning at 18:19:10
There will be few surprises with the team tomorrow (quite rightly!). Vaz will start. Chaplin will start as he is mustard at home. I'd give Sarmiento a start definitely. Aside from that it will be the same side that started at Cov. COYFB!!! |
 | News Comment | Fans Urged to Stay Off the Pitch at 17:47:50
Its a stupid debate to get involved in. Those who want to celebrate on the pitch will, and those who don't, won't. There is no bed wetting do gooder that it going to change anyones mind. The emotion of the occasion will provoke an involuntary response either way. We should all embrace the fact we finally could have something to celebrate COYB xx |
 | News Comment | Fans Urged to Stay Off the Pitch at 17:33:18
Totally pointless request. People will celebrate on the pitch like fans have done for over 100 years. Especially as we haven't had anything to cheer about for so long. There are no safety concerns. The only pitch invasions to cause safety concerns are when people run into the pitch in protest/beaten/relegated/rivals. This is going to be a one-sided celebration of years of disappointment. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Frustrating But Lots of Good Things in the Performance at 08:29:18
Lets be honest about yesterday, we were shyte. Backwards and sideways passing without a final ball. Laboured strolling about the pitch like they couldn't be bothered. Wycombe were terrible, but apart from Chaplin missing a sitter I don't think we threatened their goal much at all. Aluko again was the best player when he came on, and Burns was totally marked out of the game. Lots of negatives to turn into positives KM, rather than positives to build on. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: One of the Best Performances Since I’ve Been Here at 19:56:37
You cannot expect to dominate games in the way we do, not take our chances, and concede with the very first chance the opposition have and then expect to be promoted. It won't happen, end of. Need to think again or sign someone that knows how to create goals and finish. 70 odd percent possession every game and not winning will mean diddly-squat at the end of the season. |
 | News Comment | Burton Albion 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 08:07:10
Whatever deal Walton is on, rip it up and double it!! If we are to get promoted this season, he will be the main reason. Our defence is making too many errors and we are relying on him to make world-class saves every game. Its early days, but we need to be mindful that in our pursuit of a striker, our defence also needs looking at. |
 | News Comment | Bonne: An Honour to Put on the Blue Shirt at 11:53:42
No time for sentiments, we need consistent goalscorers if we are to get out of this league. 1 in every 3 to 4 games isn't good enough. You only have to see that a midfielder was our top goal scorer to see that.....GL though to MB. |
 | News Comment | TWTV Special - Jason Dozzell at 12:49:13
I was there too as an 18 year old and went on the pitch at the end to celebrate with Chris Kiwomya. Now my son is also 18!....😳 |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Second Half Was a Completely Different Game at 16:16:41
We were crap in the second half. Same as usual, no creativity and no end product. Need to solve this in the summer. It's no use having loads of possession and not troubling the keeper. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Definitely a Step Backwards at 22:45:08
Yep agree bill we got what we deserved. Dont think their keeper was really tested at all. Its something that needs addressing asap. We cant keep dominating games but having no end product. |
