Ive been a regular watcher of the youths for longer than i care to mention when we produced players for the national team and this is the poorest ive seen them.
Must be given a run in the side to build on a promising partnership with Hirst . Can see why he scored loads of goals for Middlesborough his movement and mobility around the box is good and unlike other number tens we have had has good physicality.
Yes still work to do Sheffield United were getting far too much room early on and better teams would have punished us. Nunez looks a quality player and once he gets fully fit he will be a starter in the team.
Ben Godfrey can we play against you every week . Not the sort of player to have around in a relegation battle. Just watched the game again on TV Jaden Philogene won't have an easier opponent one of the poorest players to ever pull on a Ipswich shirt.
Some people on here will know i am one of Philogenes worst critics but unlike some on here im not one to go into hiding when proved wrong. I don't think in 60 years i have seen a better hatrick at Portman road maybe Colin Viljoens on his debut one with his right one with his left and the other a header. This conveniently leads me on to Nunez who reminds me alot of Viljoen gliding around the pitch making it look so easy definitely my sort of player. As Keiran McKenna said there's still a lot of work to do before we are firing on all cylinders.
Blues 1 i can also play left back but i wouldn't be any good. To much of this round pegs in square holes at the club at the moment and fans wonder why players are not performing at their best.
Although im a big fan of McKenna's no manager is perfect. The claim that McKenna improves players i think is a bit off the mark Muric, Jack Clarke, Smzodics and Philogene who rarely beats his man because of the fear of being tackled he's a bit like Michael Jackson in football boots. I am a bit worried about Acpom after scoring bucket loads of goals for Middlesborough will he come under the McKenna curse. The question has to be asked why sign players if you are not going to play them in the position they are happiest. Despite all this criticism i am still confident McKenna will turn it around.
Seems to be picking up a lot of injuries after being virtually injury free at Blackburn and scoring goals for fun hasn't really worked out for him at Ipswich.
The whole team is not functioning well at the moment to be fair and this would have an effect on players performances. Hirst will do very well to hold his place from the likes of Akpom but i think it's unfair to judge him at the moment with the team in disarray.
With the stupid buy back clause technically he's not hundred percent our player . Manchester city will hope he can develop his game at Ipswich and then be in a position to buy him back crazy.
These players are leaving because they want games time they are not being pushed out of the door . We have some real moaners and whingers who supposedly support the Town. The performances of the team last season were unacceptable so there had to be a major re build . The only player who has been a major loss in my opinion is Sam Morsy it's a bit like losing two players such was his influence on and off the pitch and of course to a lesser extent Liam Delap and Omari Hutchinson. Of course you could buy the best eleven players in the world but there's no guarantee that they are going to gell . Has Keiran McKenna taken us as far as he can and is losing his motivation. It would cost a lot of money in compensation to get rid of him. Fans who call for the manager's head never come up with any viable alternatives mainly because in general they lack a bit of grey matter. I think in the next five or six games we will get some idea of our destiny.
Had terrible bad luck with injuries and needs a decent run of games to see him at his best and he's not going to get it here so it's a good move for him and the fee is about right considering we got 10 million for Broadhead who wasn't a first team regular.
