Why would the club not extend the early bird deadline with the discount to June time* once the fans know what manager will be in place?
Surely it’s logical to win as many fans back as possible. From a revenue perspective, the % difference in monetry value is surely neither here or there with the discount really?
I know season tickets are up as of today but im confused why it hasnt been extended longer to get PR as full as possible. And of course with that comes more sales etc etc...
(Also sorry if already discussed, havent been on ina while...) :)
Everyone loves (hates) a bit of speculation def info dont they?
Inside Source (not me) , sounds good already right? Shefki Kuqi deal almost done according to this ‘source’ whether thats as number 1 or 2 he didnt know but defo going to have involment apparently from next season either way. Odds have dropped considerably over the weekend too.
Can anyone remember what odds McCarthy was prior to him joining? Was he odds on or further down the list of possible appointments? Obviously loads of names linked with us, but I know a lot of them are probably not even close to a conversation with Town, let alone joining. Just curious where McCarthy was...
I only found out late today of the departure and whilst like a lot of you I am not surprised, nor against it I think its 100% the right choice from ME/MM alike.
All I would say, despite the disconnect between the fans and MM in recent times I dont think anyone can argue he has been, to be honest a great servent to the club, all be it up and down at times.
Regardless of what you may think, the only right thing to do at the end of the season is to Clap and Applaud Mick McCarthy when he does one final walk out/Walk around of Portman Road. He deserves some respect in my opinion and I would hate it if everyone walked out at the end without any respect to the bloke.
Then we open a hopeful new exciting season in 2018/19, with i’m sure the return of many fans. 10% discount/New Manager. No reason why a lot of you shouldnt be back down there next season, right?!
Maybe the above would apply with some of the names i’ve seen chucked around on twitter etc. Warburton? Mowbray? I think i even see one person say Curbishley. Like jesus. Redknapp?
I’m not saying theres a right answer, and I havent a clue who’d best fit but the only one i’ve seen that i’ve thought yea thats worth a punt is Lampard. (Like thats going to happen)
Why would we get rid of McCarthy for some of those names in the game?
I think some of our fans need a reality check. (Like I did when I actually thought we may scrape play offs) ha.
Not bad from them, Perhaps Ipswich should take a leaf .. also around £300 for Adults. Something like this is the only way we will get close to getting our supporters back!
Am I missing something, looking at Twitter etc you’d think Norwich won yesterday. Celebrating a 1-1 like a huge win! I dont get it? Rivalry or not why would you be happy with a 1-1?
Another note re the ‘where did that 5 mins come from’ , yes ok you could argue this waa a lot but at the end of the day its the bloody players at fault for not seeing it out. Not 2 mins earlier, Knudsen had a great chance to play in waghorn and messed it up. Or alternatively should of kept the ball in the bloody corner. Its mad. Town went to sleep in the final minute, and my god uts frustrating to watch.
Out of interest would anyone actually change our starting 11 at the moment or how we set up?
Obviously a lot of hate towards Mick, but the players need to take a lot of the blame. Particularly for yesterdays dier performance.
But at the end of the day we set up yesterday pretty attacking,no? I know there’s obviously a lot more to it, but is it just a case of a man losing the dressing room entirely? As we know, manager changes in any league make such a big difference just look at Swansea etc..
I still dont know if im fully mick out, i think its the fear of knowing who we’d get next? Who would better us..
Did anyone just see that piece on ITV news about football and the positions they generally play compared to there skin colour? Never heard anything like it in my life. Most ridiculous study ever. Or am I missing something?
This may have already been said but Surely yesterday was more proof that away fans would be better sittuated towards the SBR instead of where they’re seated currently? Ok dont get me wrong not all away fans will be how Leeds were yesterday but it helped the Atmosphere no end particularly in the SBR end, even upper tier were getting involved!
Long shot, but won a Family of 5 Ticket to Stonham Barns Owl Sanctuary in a raffle Any Takers for like a Fiver? Will post to whoevers interested! (If anyone!)
Say we do pull of a place in the play offs and/or promotion, do you think MM would actually like to stay at our club and do you think he’d actually be offered another contract if he did pull it off?
All these comments from McCarthy about us booing douglas etc .. apart from the announcement before KO was there any other negativity towards him Saturday? Personally i'd agree with McCarthy in that he didnt actually play that badly and tried desperately to get forward until made to drop in Skuses' absence of course. But certainly from where I sat I didnt think there was much negativity towards douglas directly, no? ... we seriously need to get behind them tomorrow! The booing seriously achieved fook all. Whilst i may agree in parts that ME/IM/MM may be the problem, at a time when the players need us most it was a f*cking disgrace to be honest.. whats laughable is how it turned around so much when we drew level against brum.
Big game today, a lot bigger than I think a lot of people realise! With Bristol City thumping Huddersfield last night the gap between us an league 1 is becoming ever smaller.
Other games of note today include: Brum Newcastle Fulham Wolves Blackburn Preston Nottingham Derby Wigan Villa
In my opinion home wins coming from Fulham, Notts and Blackburn today My score prediction? I'm stuggling to see past a 0-0 or a 1-1 unfortunately, which of course will make things harder reading come 5pm should results not go in our favour!
Just a quick question, obviously a lot of people are talking negatively about Town at the mo (me included at times) but are that many of you genuinely going to give up your season tickets when it comes to renewal?
I know its not been great this season but i've sat through worse in the number of years i've been a seson ticket holder and regardless I dont think I could give it up. I would be lost if I couldnt go down to PR on a Saturday afternoon or a Tuesday night!
Yes its expensive, best part of £500 odd quid for me but good or bad, mick mcarthy or not, I'll definitely be renewing, and think a lot more of you will be as well (despite the moans) , no?
