Ipswich Town Captain Sam Morsy has departed the Club to join Kuwait SC. He leaves the club as a player who will be admired for years to come...
Morsy's legacy will be remembered and cherished for a long, long time. He may not have had the Premier League success that other former Ipswich captains had. Still, his influence on the way the club has been reborn from his arrival in 2021 to now leaving in 2025 is a testament to his on-pitch character and leadership that he brought.
It may never happen in the way that Ipswich did it, and Sam Morsy will always be the figurehead of Ipswich's fairytale back to the BIG Time with Back to Back promotions.
His departure will leave a void; some will be angry, some will be upset. But the most important thing is that we remember how proud we were watching him play for our football club.
