 | News Comment | Ipswich Town Women 0-1 Nottingham Forest Women - Match Report at 22:50:39
Blues1 - I just don't fully understand how it is cheaper to rent Colchester's stadium than play at our own. Birmingham, Bristol City, Charlton, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Utd and Southampton in WSL2 play at their main stadiums. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town Women 0-1 Nottingham Forest Women - Match Report at 19:01:16
33% possession today. Only one shot on target so far this season. We knew it would be a big step up to the WSL2, but it does not look like the summer recruitment has been good enough to give our young side the help they need to be competitive at this level. I was hoping we would make some exciting signings and play at Portman Road to make the most of our WSL2 opportunity. To be fair, 1,117 was the highest WSL2 attendance today, although half the 2,150 at Felixstowe for the final game of last season. |
 | News Comment | Sheehan: An Exciting Occasion at 11:03:11
1,000 sales is decent, although I wonder how many would have sold at Portman Road. Many of our WSL2 rivals play in their main stadiums, including Nottingham Forest. It sounds like the have invested a lot in their team, although they have Premier League income of course. |
 | News Comment | Philogene: A Special Performance For Me at 08:26:05
What a fantastic hat-trick, Philogene was superb tonight and all credit to him. Could he go on to become even better than his U21 colleague Hutchinson? Time will tell on that, but he has the season ahead to keep on performing and scoring in the Championship, and maybe another shot at the Premier League if we go up. |
 | News Comment | Town Women Make WSL2 Debut at Southampton at 16:07:34
It's brilliant to be playing at this level for the first time, when a few years ago we were in the fourth tier (where Norwich are now). All the best for the new season ahead, starting at St Mary's tomorrow. I only wish we could play at Portman Road, and hope that can be reconsidered with many women's teams now playing at their main stadium. |
 | News Comment | Fletcher Excited to Start New Chapter at 17:03:34
It's always exciting to sign a young striker and to see if we can develop him into a first team player, which is really hard these days with all the competition. If he does make it, I see Man City have a buy back clause. I wish something could be done to ban those. I wonder what Man City could buy him back for. |
 | News Comment | Women's Squad Numbers Announced at 17:04:06
It will be a tough but interesting season. COYB. If Southampton Women play at St Mary's stadium, why can Ipswich Women not play at Portman Road? I wonder why the clubs came to different decisions on that. |
 | News Comment | Chaplin's Portsmouth Loan Return Confirmed at 22:02:21
I bet Portsmouth can't believe their luck, getting Chaplin on loan two days after he started for Ipswich! No mention of a loan fee, so I suppose we let him leave for nothing. I am sure he will do well for them and I am sorry to see him leave. |
 | News Comment | Woolfenden Completes Coventry Move at 21:59:41
That is a bargain for Coventry, especially if the £4m is over time and/or dependent on conditions. I enjoyed Luke's performances and am sad to see him leave. |
 | News Comment | Al-Hamadi's Luton Loan Confirmed at 21:56:06
It's great to make such a good profit in a signing which didn't work out. He worked hard and I wish Ali all the best. |
 | News Comment | Ogbene Completes Blades Loan Move at 17:39:47
Are they paying a loan fee and 100% of his wages? £8m is a lot of money to lose. The injury was really unfortunate but I was looking forward to seeing Ogbene in the team, as his pace would be so useful. Anyway, best of luck to him. |
 | News Comment | Blades Linked With Ogbene Loan Talks at 19:45:07
As one of the teams with parachute money, Sheffield Utd should challenge for the title with us. I am not sure we should loan him to them. Fair enough if they want to stump up a few million to buy him. |
 | News Comment | Town and Swans Mfuni 'Approaches Rejected' at 15:26:10
> Let’s not forget a 17-20 year old doesn’t count towards our squad limit so if they are backup then a vital squad place isn’t used. I belive they do count if on loan. |
 | News Comment | Town and Swans Mfuni 'Approaches Rejected' at 13:30:56
I don't like the idea of the Mfuni loan. Surely Johnson or Young could cover left-back if Davis gets injured or suspended. Cadamarteri, well, Sheffield Wednesday's situation could lead to a few bargains for other clubs. I wouldn't be adverse to signing a 20 year old striker if he cost around £1m. Whoever we sign though, we need to get them to play together, develop understandings and deliver wins. |
