For full context that was done in honour of the Englands women’s football team after they won the Euros. Think a function was held in their honour - but different to someone hanging a flag on a lamppost or painting a roundabout.
The NF and Reform voters will all claim to be patriotic. What is patriotism? If it’s just painting on roundabouts or attaching a flag to a bridge then it’s a pretty meaningless act as it’s far too easy.
True patriotism is putting the welfare of your country above the views of the individual. KFoor example Brexit - can someone be patriotic if they still champion it? Knowing (and they all know it) the damage that it’s done to the country? I would suggest not.
Nobody has asked me for my thoughts regarding where we’re at but that won’t stop me from posting.
Ok, after four games the points tally and style of play is underwhelming. The team seem to have lost their spark, creativity and willingness to take chances.
I do think that using the ‘time to gel’ excuse isn’t really applicable to high level professional football as they should have the footballing intelligence to learn quickly off one another.
However, seasons can be ignited by that one spark and I do think that today’s late late drama might well provide it. Almost two weeks off now for the players to work together and to form some sort of more cohesive unit. The next three league matches are important for everybody to lose anxiety as well as a lot of the negativity. The next three league matches need to produce nine points.
Anyway, no one asked for my thoughts but that’s where I’m at.
It’s been made perfectly clear countless times that no player comes to the club without the say-so of KM. MA simply negotiates the deals after players have been identified.
Don’t think KM would put up with any interference regarding player identification from MA.
Think a lot of people are looking at the price and age through glasses made in 2005.
£4M isn’t actually that much for a Championship plus player. In terms of age - promotion to the PL is worth at least £150M to the club. If he helps us achieve promotion and then becomes a squad player then it’ll still be money worth spent.
Edit. From Phil’s article, DF has also captained WBA and so must be quite a strong character which is what teams also need.
I would love to read the NCFC WhatsApp group chat to see their views on this transfer.
I know that most players don’t really buy into club rivalries and are much more pragmatic- but it’ll still be interesting nonetheless. One of their players has a canary tattoo on his arm so he won’t be too pleased.
Looks like what my youngest does in the car when he tries to organise his McDonalds. And then when he gets out of the car, it’s all a complete mess..just like Amorim’s tactics.
Considering the Mail had a cheeky w**k over Liz Truss’s budget, it’s not really surprising that they now do the same but this time all over hate-preacher Farage.
