Different era though. PL squads were not as large with players more willing to move down a league. |

With the community service fitting the crime - fly tippers having to tidy up urban and rural areas for so many weekends of a year. And make community service a lot more of an inconvenience to someone’s free time whilst allowing them to work. |

Exactly this. What someone does in their own garden is their own affair. If for example, my next door neighbour wants to trim her bush with me able to watch, who am I to complain. |

These days? Criminals have always stole, always mugged and always injured innocent victims. There had never been an age which was golden or respectful. |

I did put forward community service which I think will be a far better way for dealing with such offenders. |

Absolutely- because what the armed forces really want is to look after people who don’t want to be there. |

Let’s not forget that that offensive tweet called for hotels housing asylum seekers to be burned down. At the time of heightened emotions she could have helped to further escalate the situation. Rehabilitation is the key but we live in a country where a lot of people view rehabilitation as a soft option. But I do agree with you that we need to change our thinking regarding punishment. |

Maybe a way to move on will be to financially compensate the finalists who attended and then invite them back to film a new series which could be an extended finals? |

Mate, why were you sent down? Prisoner A: Got four years for glassing someone. Prisoner B: Got a few years for supplying drugs. Prisoner C: Got a few years for cutting down a tree. Now I know that it’s more than a tree and people were generally upset by it but a custodial sentence is utterly ridiculous. Four years of community service on weekends from 09:00-18:00 doing countryside cleanups etc. That would have been a more fitting punishment- in my opinion |

Say what you what about Nazi’s but at least they put clear warning labels on bottles of beer. Don’t drink whilst pregnant, don’t drink and drink and don’t….whatever the other one is…possible against drinking and using dangerous machinery? |
 | Forum Thread | A brilliant Facebook group at 16:04 15 Jul 2025
I don’t post on Facebook anymore and its quote a dreadful site. But I’ve recently discovered a group on there called Realistic Railway Modelling. I simply look at the pictures of other people’s models and I tend to be really impressed. Plus all of the comments are quite supportive with people offering constructive and kind criticism. A grown up group for gentler people. |

Labour, from the start have been up against it - not from incompetence or corruption but from the weight of the tabloid media being against them. And from the BBC love-in with hate-preacher Farage. When you have that level of hospitality against you, you either have a ‘f**k you’ mentality or try and woo them. Unfortunately for the country, Starmer has tried to woo them resulting in his administration being viewed with contempt from the Labour left as well as anyone right of centre. The right-wingers will never be his friends and nor will the hard left of the Labour Party - their loser mentality will rather see the Tories in than someone like Starmer. Rather naively I don’t think that it’s too late but Starmer needs to take his gloves off and come out fighting. Don’t try to out Reform the Reform Party but actually govern from a lefty perspective. |

Let’s not be disingenuous- the reason they picked him was due to having a good scouting network in place - which was paid for by having been in the PL for a few years. It’s not pot luck. Hopefully the infrastructure of ITFC will get stronger and stronger as the PL money will get invested into the right projects. |
