I don't think fully appreciate how they feel over in Poland.
I was there when they rolled into the Crimea and the shock of the locals took me a bit by surprise. As far as they are concerned, once they start coming, they keep coming.
Maybe that is some of the rationale in letting Chaplin go. Chaplin was magnificent, but could only be a 10. There was talk of him being able to cover 9 when he first came here, but I can't remember him ever doing so, and was never considered, even when we only had Al-Hamadi available and half fit.
If Humphreys can move about the formation a bit, he might have a future here. Even if not, he has a value which will disappear to Huddersfield for nowt unless something happens. We have to move to a point where we're able to produce a player like Humphries and get something out of them, either on the pitch, or a fee.
Humphreys aside, maybe one of the consequences of Chaplin and Woolfenden leaving, is there is a now a viable route for young players to mix it with the first team. Might not be game time, but at least in training.
