Smells as if his agent just getting his value up.

Do we know how serious the 'big' club interest is?

People just don't want an insidious channel like Fox News over here. Best to try and discredit it and get it cancelled now before it gets established.

Vaccinations seem to be slowing down
at 09:10 17 Jun 2021

There are also a slight logistical issues with the hubs - they have opened more up, but are struggling to find the clinical staff and volunteers to staff them.

Plus in Suffolk, there is a now a mix of AZ being administered by GPs Federation as second jabs and Pfizer first jabs being offered by the Essex and Suffolk Trust. They are not using the same hubs. There are only a certain amount of spare trained clinical staff in the county.

Covid - very sensible to delay easing of restrictions
at 14:04 14 Jun 2021

Because they had side effects after the first which resulted in lost work, or have friends and family who have. As mentioned, a big percentage of those are in low paid, zero hour contracts and they can't take a day off, let alone a week with flu type symptoms.

That just lazy journos typing £1m rather than the effort of typing £425,000 plus add-ons.

At a guess a fair percentage of those in Newham who haven't taken up the vaccine are in low paid, zero hour contracts. Offering statutory sick pay to everyone for 2 weeks post jab so they can recover and feel able to take time off would be cost effective long term.

You imagine there will be a shift quite soon to start reporting excess deaths, not just Covid deaths and base the opening/restrictions on those. I'd also like to know the figures on the rise in those accessing mental health services and those choosing to end their life.

Possibly once all adults have been offered the vaccine that will coincide with a shift in policy based on 'we've done all we can' and all those who have refused are left with their own choice.

I've only just checked when the England matches are on telly and found I have better things planned anyway.

I'll watch the highlights if we win. Does that make me a bad person?

Festivals This Summer.
at 14:03 9 Jun 2021

Our tickets for SoundCity last year is now valid on the Friday. If that doesn't go ahead then something has gone very wrong.

Just been emailed by tickets for Timber (2nd-4th July) so they seem good to go.

Festivals This Summer.
at 10:40 9 Jun 2021

Off to the Timber Festival in Derbyshire at the beginning of July. Had an email saying they are confident they can go ahead as it's outdoors and all social distancing etc is set up as if they will still be in Step 3 of the roadmap.

Indoor venues are all waiting to hear.

End of lockdown being pushed back 2 weeks...

They can also look closely at the wider care sector. I know of two friends in the care sector who have both deferred their jab as they can't afford to take any time off should they get side effects. Both on zero hour contracts.

Find them, jab them and support them if needed.

It would be useful to know out of those 83, how many have been offered the vaccine and refused/deferred.

Is it a coincidence that both transfers have been announced in the late pm?
at 16:53 7 Jun 2021

Has it got more to do with them having to sign stuff, do the tour, meet people, have photos taken, get the photos over the socials team etc. By the time that is all done, it's late afternoon.
