Liam Delap

I think you'll be surprised.

I think some people understimate how good he's going to be (and already is to some extent) Yes he's still a bit raw at some parts of his game, yes he can be a bit selfish, (understandable in a poor perfoming teams and the best strikers generally are) but i don't think there is a club in the PL that wouldn't be interested. Minutes will always be a challenege whoever you are. Fact of life. Look at Watkins recently. But you have to back yourself, and Delap will

I really don't think they've said anything that makes any difference.

Mckenna is just saying what any manager would say in this situation. Delap is our player and contracted to us so there s the option for him to be our player next season. It's just not an option he is going to take though.

Journalists can say all maor of things and it probably just reflects what Mckenna said. He is our player currently and playing for ITFC iof course s an option for Liam next season. It's just not one he is going to take based on pretty much every variable - career, ambition, money.

Its a short playing career. He's not going to bumble around the Champ for another season when he has proven he can cut the PL and pretty much any club would want his services, especially at the likely cost.

Quite.

Anyone thinking there is a chance of Delap being here next season are living in cloud cuckoo land. The player could easily become England's number 9 for the next tournament and iwith his talent has an incredible career ahead of him. He's just not going to be kicking a ball around in the Championship next season. It just isn't going to happen. He needs ot be playing at the highest level. He's too good not to be.

Totally agree with this.

Whatever you do don't live in Wycombe itself but generally all very nice areas surrounding it.

Nope won’t change your mind because I’m in total agreement. More games too and I’m actually going to be paying less per game. But people still moan

So, season tickets up 10%
at 13:49 24 Apr 2025

Considering demand, the increased games, the spend of the club over last 24 months , the price comparison with other clubs, our Season ticket is still brilliant value.

Expected a rise of this amount. It’s the prefect time to do it with the demand and the club has to look after itself.

For those moaning, look at how much we were paying for a ST 10 years ago in the champ. Our team is a million times better and how much have things gone up since then. Sure feel for people who’s finances are stretched but those making comments like ‘disgraceful’ etc aren’t in the real world.

Take my money ITFC and roll on August. I love the champ especially when competitive.

Situation in Serbia
at 15:20 17 Mar 2025

Me niether, and it begs the question why is this not being covered more widely by British media if accurate to the extent ITFC serbia states, and i see no reason why it should not be??

Edit:

Apparently it is....but have to admit its somehow bypassed me. I would have expected it to be much more headline news

Anyone have a joy yesterday? I personally didn't fancy Con Hill and went with State Man. Absolutely gutted at the last - that would have been about 200 notes :(

Fanices for today?

This season
at 15:43 10 Mar 2025

I think the recruitment was ok (GK aside) but lacked vital Prem experience. Ironically i think thats why we probably signed Muric, because he'd played PL games and unfortnately it just didn't work out for us.

Expecting players like Clarke, Philogene to hit the ground running is a huge ask. I hate that fans have written them off.

What gives me most hope is i think players like Clarke and Philogene will be huge assets once they're settled and with another season under their belts. I think recruitment really was made with a thought to the fact we may or are likely to go down. It was prudent to do so as much as we all wanted to think we were going to be ok.

Even for Omari, this was his first PL season, it's a hge ask for it to happen immediately. Each one of the younger players will have learnt so much. They are going to be better for it. It's frustrating we are likely going down but look how difficult teams find it now and we were a L1 team 2 years ago whilst Southampton and Leicteser were PL teams.

Sell Delap (yes i wish we didn't have to but thats inevitable) and keep the bulk of squad we will be a very good place.

We have 2 seasons to get back up, and should we do it we would be in a far better place then when we went up last year, and that will give us a better opportuinty at trying to establish ourselves as a PL side.

Amazed Woolfie signed a new contract
at 09:50 3 Feb 2025

Jeeze, our fans really are defeatist.

It's far from over but I think most realistic fans thought this season would be nothing other than a relegation battle. The PL is a different beast and despite some good signings we still have a big core of players that were playing at L1 level. Mistakes get made, we all have a take on the GK situation but it's impossible to get everything right.

Woolfie is highly unlikley to get a PL offer elsewhere and i think he'd rather play for a Champ club that his his boyhood club and must have a very good chance of being right at the top end 'IF' that's where we find ourselves next year.

That is part of the journey. If anyone just thought we were going to stay up this season, and relegation means the club is in a less positive palace they need a rude awaking as a supporter of ITFC.

Relegation or not the club is in a very very good place and i cannot see why we can't expect plenty of positive times ahead, even it means one step back to go two forward from time to time. I think for some of our fan base they have been way too spoilt over the course of the last 2/3 seasons.

Anyway lets not give up, I hope the players have a bit more determination than our fans. 3 pts off with 17 games to play!

And if we don't make it we'll try again. Our squad next season whatever division we are in is going to be way stronger then the squad we had last time in the Championship.

I personally don't think being a top end challenging Championship team is any less exciting then being in the PL. My biggest disappoitment would be the loss of Delap so early, but it would be inevitable we'd lose him soon in any case. And being in the Champ doesn't mean you don't see these players as often they start off on loan in that division.

He has played mainl yL1 and champ football all his career for his boyhood club.

He now has 8 PL appearances to his name and is a PL player. He will get more appearances.

Why on earth wouldn't he sign a contract with us. Hes playing at the highest level for his boyhood club and been a part of an amazing football journey which is continuing.

Yes, it's worthwhile to keep checking as some people put them up after the initial re-sale date.

I've now just found I can't go unfortauntely but haven't had a chance to put my ST up for resale yet, will do later today so someone will get lucky.

I hardly ever post of the forum now.

SOme decent posters seem to have gone and just left with blatant trolling or multiple posts from those that frankly haven't got a clue or choose to ignore advice when given to them and i can't beothered to interact with them anymore.

That is true.

We did look more lost when he changed it but starting with 5 seemed to take something away from us tonight in terms of having the ball that hasn’t been evident in the previous few games.

Just a bad day at the office probably but was disappointing to create so little at home to a side that hadn’t won in 8 and when we had every reason to be confident.

Performance levels were fine 1st half but can’t agree 2nd half. We looked a bit lost, especially after conceding, lost concentration and everything was just a bit off and disjointed.

A really bad half unfortunately after Burns half chance early 2nd half. Our performance nose dived quickly and don’t think Kieran will have been happy with that

I’m optimistic but can’t see how any fan can say they are satisfied with tonight. A real missed opportunity and with two incredibly difficult games ahead of us.

The 5 at the back has worked last few games but tonight it didn’t. Greaves is a good player but he struggled

First half we were pretty decent and grew into the half. Broadhead was looking lively.l and Burns very good.

2nd half was horrible. Just got schooled by Brighton. The team and McKenna didn’t really have an answer. Delap didn’t get a kick.
It happens, they’ll learn and we keep the faith but for me that was the worst half of the season because a game we look like potentially winning we just had nothing to offer 2nd half and was slightly deflating

Totallly agree. He’s a fantastic young player.

I don’t understand the attitude of so many of our fans hoping we don’t sign him because the transfer took so long and because it means he doesn’t want to join.

They don’t have a clue as to what holds things up and I feel for the bloke that there are some idiotic fans that will still hold this against him the moment he dares misplace a pass.

So glad he’s here but the transfer saga was more a reflection of some supporters than it was Jaden.

Leicester v Palace
at 09:08 15 Jan 2025

Palace to win.

I palace will not get relegated, they’ve got a good manager and it’s been injuries that really made the start of the season a struggle.

There are only 3 teams I think we need to concern ourselves with are wolves, Everton, Leicester.

Southampton are gone so we’d want them to actually beat sides we’re fighting relegation with.

Excellent news. Delighted it wasn’t Alex Scott.

Nothing against her and she’s better than many male pundits but her butchering of the English language is painful to listen to at times.

Gabby Logan is excellent.
