Judge...
at 09:52 6 Nov 2019

I agree with your points also, and of course we can't just put him in the side because of the player he has been previously. But i assume that Lambert sees him in training and sees that his ability is still there. Also by the fact that i think Judges performances are improving. Admittedly they are improving much slower than i would have hoped, but there is definite improvement and i think that should give optimism to everyone that if this continues we'll have a good player nearer the Judge of previous seasons.

Should his performances tail off or stop progressing then I would agree that AJ shouldn't be starting and that perhaps the problems may be more long-term

Think there is a lot of unfair comment on Judge.
It's clear he's not been at his best, and he has way more ability than we have seen, but he has openly admitted he's struggled for form and it seems there are quite valid reasons for this.

Obviously personal problems and missing pre-season have had an impact but the biggest thing he has mentioned is he has clearly lost a bit of confidence because of the way he has been playing.

I play football regularly, not to any great standard, but after a fairly long absence this year, I just seemingly cannot play to the same level as before....I keep beating myself up about it and it's all completely down to confidence. I'm the same player, same legs but timing has gone when I shoot, crosses over or underhit, constantly feel pressure on the ball even when i have time. Now i'm finally slowly getting confidence back as things i do come off, but what i thought may take a few games has taken me over 3 months. This is the first time I've really appreciated the impact confidence has on a player and the absolute hollow feeling of desperation, and letting team mates down when you seemingly can't play to the standard that you were before.

We really should get behind the guy if the manager seems fit to select him and not knock him as I imagine that is only going to make the situation 10 times worse for AJ. If the manager thinks form and mindset of AJ is not good enough, then he won't select him, but he's obviously seeing enough in training to see him as a starter. Let's support the guy as we are more likely to see the player we want to rather than by criticizing him online. I really hope he doesn't read these threads as it won't help his confidence.

Definitely another strange line up. Getting a bit frustrating as I don't think it's helping and why performances and results are becoming less convincing.

Hope tonight proves me wrong

No one winning in the top 6 as it currently stands, be great if it stayed that way.

Past injuries
at 23:52 31 Oct 2019

the game has got way faster so more injuries happen. Players are way nearer the limit of what the human body can deal with than 20 years ago.
We've just had bad luck, it's cyclical, other clubs are having bad luck. At some point we'll go a season with no serious injuries and it will just be luck rather than any change.
The serious injuries that player shave had are just bad luck, take Nydam for example, nothing can stop that happening.
Rehab should be the focus!

But don't you think they deserve a chance, i'd rather Labour were run by someone like Kier Starmer rather than Jeremy Corbyn but this country needs a new government. Labour are only likely to get in as part of a coalition and if say with the LD may only be on terms that is is agreed JC moves aside.
A Boris led government after the austerity, division and general damage the Tories have done over the last 10 years will just seen a continuation of all the current troubles. If a tory government continues after the general shambles they have been within their own party in recent times, then I think politics in this country is effectively dead because it just makes no sense to me why people want to be governed by them. (Note i'm not saying labour is the answer but a new government is needed for the health of this country)

Jeeze, seems like every club has supporters that want to sing this pathetic, racially stereotyping, chant at one of their black players. What is wrong with people, sad and pathetic

He has but not enough people care unfortunately and have very short memories.
Whilst his majority is not exactly large, especially for a PM (i think he lost about 5,000 votes in the last election) there is no way he'll lose his seat unfortunately. Too many residents lap it up when he makes his occasioanal 'Asda' appearance.

I'll be voting Labour (Milani) and would love it if Johnson lost his seat....would be one of the most remarkable counts and results ever if it did happen

The whole Brexit debacle has really magnified people
at 15:59 30 Oct 2019

It staggers me how many low income people who complain about services, pay etc continually vote conservative. (i'm basing this on people i know or who i come across in day to day life that tell me what their political persuasion is).
I understand the middle and upper classes that vote from a more selfish point of view and vote tory, and that is their prerogative and i have nothing against that although i don't agree as i would rather pay more taxes if i can afford it. But for those that don't seem to understand what they are doing by voting conservative, especially current Tory governments and how austerity hurts them more than the average man on the street I just don't get it.

Loads of kids on bikes weaving in and out of traffic/doing tricks in town

This seems to happen on a weekly basis in Hillingdon west London where I live. Loads of neighbourhood groups complaining about this kind of behaviour and generally causing a nuisance to drivers. Surprised one hasn’t been killed yet or more worryingly caused a big accident injurying innocent drivers/pedestrians

Rowe and Edwards I just do not get. They just do not contribute, Georgiou really deserves a start over either of these two.
And yes changes needed after Rotherham but also we are still making changes for the sake of changes, no need to drop Holy when making other changes. No continuity whatsoever, it’s getting really frustrating now.

So you've decided he's a one trick pony based on how many minutes of watching him play this season?Odd. In two 45 minute displays he has been voted Town's best player.
Tell me what Danny Rowe's or Alan Judge's end product has been recently?
I just think he deserves a start or two, if he delivers nothing or has no impact then fair enough leave him on the bench but he deserves a chance

How do you know he's only an impact player when he has't been given a start. Fair enough when the team was winning but after 2 defeats, awful defeats at that, surely now is the time to give him a start and see what he can do

Absolutely. Has an impact every time he comes on, don't agree with other posters saying he has yet to make an impact.
Basically turned the game against wimbedon as was by far our best player against Rotherham on Weds, he looked really lively and the only time Rotherham had any threat to deal with.
Rowe was anonymous Weds, so i'd def have Georgiou ahead of Rowe now for selection, at least to see what he can do

So right-wing and these poor northeastern souls are lapping it up. They really are screwed in these regions, they don't know what to do, they think Brexit will be their friend, they are in for a rude awakening!

More upset with the North Stand than the team last night
at 11:57 24 Oct 2019

Last night was the strangest game in terms of atmosphere I’ve been to in the last 5 years. Evening games with larger gates (due to more casual fans taking up an offer) are always a little different but last night was shocking.
I’m a season ticket holder in SBRL and I did not hear one single song sung across the stand except for one very half hearted attempt at every Saturday we follow. Absolutely zilch although I did miss the first 10 minutes.
I can never ever recall that happening before and was genuinely shocked that not even a chant of Ipswich, or Ipswich till I die or just anything was sung. Just wierd, never had that before even when we’ve been getting mullered on the pitch. So last night was depressing on many levels, not just the performance.

0-2 has flattered us tonight as it ought to have been 0-4
at 22:50 23 Oct 2019

I know you can be a bit reactionary after a defeat Mach buts it’s really hard to argue with much you’ve said tonight. Most worrying thing for me about all of this is Lamberts managerial ability because I really like the man. But his decisions are questionable at best at the moment. Well done for getting the early results but I think a fair bit of good fortune there and we seem to be going backwards in terms of how we play. He doesn’t know his best side or what formation he wants to play and it’s beginning to harm us! Where has that first 25 minute performance against MK gone?!!!!!
