I have watched some terrible video footage of London's east end today.
at 09:18 29 Mar 2020
As a Londoner I can also say first hand that I've not seen any shop open that shouldn't be and have been fairly impressed by how most people have been giving each other space and behaving sensibly in the shops that are open.
I think there have been some issues with some open farmers markets such as Hampstead but the original post just sounds like an inaccurate rant to me especially without actually showing the video he has supposedly seen.

Jeeze, this could be anything.
You really don't understand what news is. Yes it could be true but this unverified clip is not proof.
If it was as large scale as being made out in this clip there would definitely be more circulating in the public domain even allowing for China's internet firewalls

Most definitely. It reads exactly as she presents her reports on BBC news. For someone which such a big gig I think she is an awful journalist. I mentioned on another thread recently that I thought her reporting of Brexit was terrible and she continues to deliver a lot of dribble.
Katya Adler is 10 times the journalist Laura is.

People need to get serious! Sorry Joe but you need to do the sensible thing here.

time for you to go on ignore now, you are a div, your football posts were bad enough but i can't stand this nonsense with regards to life and death matters. Good bye
WTF is the matter with British people?
at 21:17 21 Mar 2020
i think we have disproportionate number of c**ts in our society, i really do.
Situations like this always show up people for what they are and while all countries have the same kind of individuals we do seem to excel in this kind of anti-social behaviour and the football hooligan element is another such example.
Being British has been an embarrassment for the last 4-5 years!
So, how are we all doing?
at 23:24 20 Mar 2020
We have a huge global health crisis and you are wondering why politicians are taking this seriously.
Your post doesn't really make any sense.
The only people that aren't taking this seriously are those without education and that just don't have the ability to understand through no fault of their own, are religiously brainwashed, or are just pig ignorant and only care about themselves and their everyday life being impacted without any regard for their own family and friends.
Why would politicians not take this seriously what ever their political and financial motives?
Say there was lockdown today, how are you set?
at 10:08 19 Mar 2020
you do realise a lock down doesn't mean you can't leave the house for essentials.
The government really needs to communicate this quickly because so many people seem to thing they need months worth of supplies and are panicking.
Lockdown does not mean you cannot go outside to shop or exercise. It means no unnecessary excursions and no social interactions where avoidable. This is already advised but hasn't been made compulsory yet. A lockdown will make it compulsory and shut all non-essential services
This is the same for all countires that have implemented their lockdowns

there are other shops to supermarkets!! I've not used a supermarket in the last two weeks and got every item i wanted from a collection of 3 or 4 shops other than hand sanitizer.
I appreciate for convenience not everyone can use local small shops but nearly all essentials are available, we are no where near the need for rationing because food production and supply chains are not a problem.
People are the problem as usual. There is only so much food and supplies people can store, things will be normal again very soon once people have spent their disposable income/filled their cupboards!

she's definitely a Tory as far as I'm aware
I think her coverage of Brexit was pretty poor when it came to asking the real hardline questions that would have been awkward. She didn't want to be seen to make the government uncomfortable, probably for fear of losing access but that is her job, and an important one at that.
I'm really not a fan of hers....purely from a reporting and professional perspective

Because we'd be nothing in the Championship and be relegated. It might not take millions to get out of this league but it does to do anything else.
Plus the club is so stale, run down, it needs millions to have a total overhaul and that would be needed to have any chance of creating something again...sadly its just not going to happen.
Season over tonight, it's not even hurting, more of a numbness as others have said. If you could have told me as a little boy on the terraces or even as young adult that this would ever happen such was my passion for football i would never have believed you.

ITFC have killed my passion for my favourite sport, it's just not fun anymore.
Supporting a football club isn't just about winning or being successful as countless clubs each season cannot of course be either but they have identity, ideas, hope, optimism each new season....but we are just a car crash and have been pretty much for 20 years and gradually heading through the leagues. L2 is not far away, in a full division of 24 and based on form for most part of the season that's were we would be heading so what's to say next year is not a relegation.
Nothing is going to change under Evans, we are in terminal decline. However I don't see a new owner helping unless they invest millions and i don't see that happening, so its either continual decline or the end of ITFC full stop as we fold. I don't know which would be more painful.

It's only a game, lets try win the next one, or the one after that. We've won more than we've lost so it's not too bad.
Good start then...

Can I moan now? We are mentally weak, as Dollers said, we have a losing mentality in big games, playing well means nothing if you don't score.
