Let's be honest, Luton aren't a terrible side. They should be playing in League 1 and are of League 1 quality. Let's not consider this as a game we should be winning without any issues. Yes, it's a game we should win, but it's not going to be an easy game by any means.
Gerken, Kenlock, McGoldrick and Celina will all start, you'd imagine so would Waghorn. Compare this to when we had Yorwerth, Malarczyk, Alabi, Coke et al playing for us, the squad is a lot stronger in terms of quality so we should be winning it, but they're under no pressure, they're in high spirits and confidence after their 8-2 win on Saturday. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves, we were almost relegated last season, we need to stop thinking we have a divine right to win games against lower league opposition. |

No mention of Bishop, either? Not sure why Mick doesn't fancy him. Clearly very talented, just been unlucky with injuries. As someone who knows him quite well on a personal level, all this talk of him not caring is total rubbish. All he wants is to get back playing, he hates the thought of people thinking he doesn't care. Just give him a chance and support him, Mick. |

Think the comments here have been harsh. I think we certainly can play attractive football, if you look at the players we have. Spence loves to run with the ball, Webster is very good with his feet. Kenlock, if he plays, similar to Spence, although not as good imo.
The good football starts with the defence, we certainly have 3/4 defenders who can play with the ball. Getting it into the feet of players like Ward, Huws, Celina, Bishop, these are the ones who can cut defences open, slide it into space for players like Sears, McGoldrick, Garner to get a shot on goal.
Give him a chance. Let's hope we can put in a good performance and victory tonight to build up some confidence ahead of the real stuff. |
