I'm not sure why it hasn't been announced - perhaps it isn't 100% agreed yet and they're still weighing up the logistics of it, but it was agreed between the clubs and staff at Col U have certainly been told but must be pretty confident it's happening.
I think the incentive is the pitch at PR gets protected. Yes, it's "only" 11 extra games, but add in the U21s and it becomes more.
Yes, you could just say the 21s don't play at PR, but I think the approach towards a 'one club' model and wanting a more senior environment for the U21s will be factors.
Assume if it is all done and dusted, news will be out soon, although it could be that CUFCs take over has changed/delayed things too |

League regulations requires it, unless they've changed with the rebrand and think the 21s are looking for that more senior environment & makes our investment more worthwhile |

I have quite close connections to someone who knows a board member - obviously won't say who - and it was a discussion that was had over the last couple of weeks.
As I say, I'm not sure exactly what the sale size would need to be, but I do know we'll need to raise some money over the summer |

Including Delap, we need 3 sales this summer to stay in line with PSR.
Delap & Hutchinson will surely be two of those. I do hope we can keep Omari and use Taylor, Harness, Axel to keep us in line instead, but I'm not sure how big the sales/outgoings need to be |

Currently got a ticket for Saints tomorrow, but not sorted travel. Also have a spare ticket for AJ vs Dubois at Wembley, but no taker.
Anybody going to the game that also fancies the AJ fight afterwards?
My thoughts are, part exchange the AJ ticket and a small bit of cash for a lift down to Saints and up to London!
Otherwise I'm losing out the AJ money & paying another whack for travel for the day.

In my defence, at the time, this wasn't happening 😂 multiple first hand contacts had told me it was nonsense (direct quote!)
Haven't had the full story yet, but seems like Charlton fell through, MK offer never came in and he wanted something closer to home.
Definitely only reached this point in the last 10 days or so! |
