They probably had the same feelings about us last summer re: Muric and O'Shea. (we didn't) |

King Power aren't in the best of financial positions either. Quite possible at some point Leicester get sold. |

QPR at home between Xmas and New year, a couple of weeks after Wayford.. We had loads missing otherwise I doubt he'd have started. Some very strange moments, at one point he was running around in a circle. Never to be seen again. Was still better than Ladapo that night. |

I went to see Fish (ex-Marillion) on his farewell tour earlier this year). As he put it, you know you're old when you're getting introduced to women named Kayleigh, along with their grandchildren. [Post edited 22 Jun 7:51]

They will do I'm sure, they couldn't in the PL because the broadcasting deal prevents it. From memory it was about €160 in 23/24, but I imagine inflation might impact... |

I've gone to a few local language meetup groups, basically a couple of hours in a cafe speaking French. |

On reflection our start didn't help us, we played well those first few games carrying on how we'd played for the previous 2 years. Against Liverpool only Delap and Greaves (+ Omari) were new signings and we were pretty good for 60 mins. Had we had a more friendly start I reckon we might have picked up a few more points and finished 18th at least. |

Australia should never have been allowed to leave Oceana for Asia. At worst FIFA should have combined the two confederations into one. Don't get me started in Australia competing in Eurovision! |

It's going to be an interesting 12 months. Promotion is the absolute aim, anything less has to be failure. Ever since KM arrived we've seen an upward trajectory but this feels like the first big test. I expect player turnover to be huge, and this time next year its feasible that none of the 22/23 L1 promotion team remain at the club. Whether we spent well last summer is open to question, but it made some sense. The attribute KM appears to value above all else is pace, hence Greaves, O'Shea, Ogbene ahead or Burgess, Woolfenden, Burns. Probably better players overall, but not £20m better. With Delap gone and Omari (maybe Davis and O'Shea too) likely to follow our squad has gaping holes. Central midfield could be without Morsy, Axel i can see leaving, Philogene maybe as well. And thats before I try to work out how we've ended up with 4 goalkeepers, none of whom convince me going forward. So somehow the squad has become a bit of a mess, though arguably still the strongest in the Championship. Its the first big test for MA since the takeover, and also the first chance for KM to build a brand new team and blend them quickly, having inherited many of the players when he joined. I'm not too worried about the ownership, but they'll clearly be wanting a return to the PL at the first attempt. If that weren't to happen they might take action. I agree MA could do with more experience alongside him, I've not been comfortable with him being Chairman and CEO and he sounded weary in his recent interview with the eadt, fewer buzzwords and not one mention of Oxygen. This season could become anything... |
