Was chatting in the pub the other day and was saying how I donât think any of our fringe players, or players coming back from injury ever seem to play in our U23âs anymore.
Players like Aluko should be playing in our U23âs to keep match fit, Ball etc too. Surely it makes sense for players coming back from injury - ie Buabo, Donacien.
You could clearly see a number of them looked rusty against Maidstone, but must be hard for someone like Aluko to be chucked into a match environment after not playing for so long. |

Looks like he could play in any of our attacking positions, but may of course be nothing in it.

Had a very nice brief chat with Mike OâLeary this evening, and wanted to say, he seems a very pleasant bloke.
I asked what his expectations for next season are, and he stated he just wants to see sustainable progress. He said that we wonât be making any âbig money signingsâ and will try and be clever with our recruitment.
Him, Ashton and a few others were apparently meeting with a number of the US owners, he said âitâs too earlyâ when asked if they were in town to greet a new signing.
I know thereâs a few rumours going around today [about McKenna], so thought Iâd share a positive encounter. |

Anyone know when theyâre likely to be announced? - Been asked to do a work trip on 16th - 17th May, but just canât bring myself to say yes yet.
(Hopefully of course we donât need it and go up automatically, but itâs one where if I book it, I canât cancel). |
