“Millwall and Hull showing interest while League One pair Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich would also snap him up”.

According to Alan Nixon.

He's been good for Charlton in quite a poor team

Agreed, would be a good signing by most accounts.

Looks like a similar player to Kyle Edwards, being very direct and quick. - 5 goals and 2 assists so far this season in the league. (One of his goals was against us).

Didn’t want to paste the entire extract, but in short, Palace are reviewing his loan and can recall him in January.

With Championship interest, I imagine that’s where Palace will want him playing, but perhaps we could tempt them by paying a larger loan fee.

Palace will be more interested in his development than how much we pay.

Half a season in L1 and half in the Champ, if it goes well, gets him closer to their first team.

That would be my guess too. Would've thought the Charlton loan makes sense as he's playing regularly and doing well, not to mention geographically. Championship football might be the right next step, but can't see much value in moving him from Charlton to another L1 club tbh.

Charlton are in a real mess and at towards bottom of the league, no manager in place and not going anywhere this season

So getting him to here vs a mid table Champ club may work, fact us and Weds interested indicates it is

Would've thought that was better preparation for a career at Palace than joining a top 2 side tbh.

Have a feeling Ashton/ KMc will be showing more ambition than we are used to.

A Marcus Stewart equivalent, initially on loan with a purchase option on promotion would be my bet.

Don’t forget we signed Marcus with Premier League football in mind.

No names to offer.

Part me wants to believe that but then we didn't really get that in the summer...

Davis financially was a wow signing as its quite unusual at this level to spend that fee on a left back. But I was expecting a wow signing up the top end.

Whittaker you'd have to say falls into that potential pot.

Was one McKenna really wanted last January ... not sure if we were ever back in for him in the summer, but could be one to watch this January.

Whoever we are after I’m sure the initial groundwork, and contact has already been done.

Mentioned him when they sacked their manager, but can't see it. Not because of cash or anything, just league status. Surely seeing if he can cut it in the second tier is more important to Palace and the player?
