Would have understood him taking another option in a European top flight league, but if it's really true that he wants to stay playing in Mexico then that pretty much says it all. Next. |

No, of course, and there's definitely an upside for us too in getting a high earner off the books. And as you say, we tend to play hardball with fees and rightly so. But I think in this case the club will have seen little value in potentially complicating a dream end of career move for a club legend for the sake of a relatively minor fee. Clearly if he'd moved to Derby, normal service would have applied and we would have squeezed a fee out of them - again, rightly. |

Tuanzebe and Burgess were out of contract. How could we have got fees for them? They were offered (presumably competitive) new deals but opted to look elsewhere for understandable reasons: Tuanzebe to play in the Premier again in his native northwest, Burgess to be a first choice centre back in a World Cup year. It happens. Not really sure what else we could have done. |

While I agree that gifting some oil barons a fine footballer who is still under contract for free sticks in the craw... This is about showing some respect to Morsy himself and rewarding him for everything he's done for us isn't it? Not demanding a fee makes his life easier (no protracted negotiations, can get his family moved and settled asap), and may also have given his agent more leverage when negotiating his contract. If it was anyone else I'd probably agree with you, but the Egyptian King has earnt it as far as I'm concerned. |

Agreed, a very odd article. In his first season Wagner sacked a competent manager, appointed a useless celebrity one and got them relegated. They've done OK since, but I'd hardly say he's been a 'sensation'! Gibson has been a decent owner for Middlesbrough and he's given them some great times in the past, but they've been treading water for years - third best, really? Probably written by AI, like half of these ridiculous sites. |

Wasn't Sean St Ledger pictured hanging out with Taylor Swift a few months after leaving us and going to MLS? Clearly something about leaving Ipswich that turbocharges one's celebrity levels. |

I just feel pity for this guy, to be honest. Is this really the best he can come up with? It's a bit pathetic. |

Indeed. McKenna likes to have a right sided CB/RB hybrid type player - first Donacien, then Tuanzebe, now maybe this lad. |

10/10, but really had to think about some of them. |

Fair enough. I've also never had problems there as such, just always found it dated and cramped, with no decent food options. Always seemed to fall very short of what you'd expect from the airport of such a major city. Haven't flown from there for 5 or 6 years though, maybe it's improved. |

14/20. Hadn't heard of the other six. Nice quiz though, enjoyed the new format. |

Yes, it used to feel quite airy and spacious, but it's quite unpleasant now. Manchester is awful though, the worst UK airport IMO. |

A great quote, well worth passing on to the next generation. Unfortunately, according to the Spinal Tap wiki, Viv was later killed by a natural gas explosion while visiting the Hampstead grave of drummer Mick Shrimpton. RIP. |

Well, the puppets did get top billing at that gig, but in fairness Tap got the bigger dressing room. |

My favourite of those is The Strike, did you see it? A former miner writes a gritty left wing drama about the 1984 miners' strike, but the Hollywood studio he sells it to turns it into a ludicrous action movie starring Al Pacino as Arthur Scargill. Just genius. |
