Excellent news on Walton
at 15:41 17 Jan 2022

Surely if true we could skip the medical?! He's been here half the season already and would have had a medical when we signed him on loan in August, don't know how much of a formality medicals are when signing a player but does seem like a bit of a waste of resources if we already know what the results will be?

Penney taking a few digs at the methods of Paul Cook
at 12:49 14 Jan 2022

I was just about to put this, Both Evans and Cook "joked" when he scored the hattrick about how the centre mids shouldn't be getting in the box and scoring like that and that Cook was going to have to have words about it.

ME getting closer to buying Huddersfield
at 12:40 14 Jan 2022

Because should we get to the Prem and he still has an involvement with us regardless of whether he actually has a say at the table or not it would come across as him succeeding in getting us to the Prem even though he ruined the club to the point where he had to sell it for it to succeed.

Hopefully that'll mean he also sells his 5% he has kept at town as well so we are completely rid of him. I do feel sorry for any other team that he sniffs around buying apart from them lot up the road, they can have him.

If Toto is going

I wouldn't be surprised if we came to some sort of agreement to terminate Kenlock, Holy and Nolans contracts as they are all up in the summer anyway. Would give us the room we need to sign Walton and Bonne on permanents as we are close to the FFP limit.

Mckenna's first win prediction
at 10:41 22 Dec 2021

If we play like we did against Sunderland then Gillingham could very well be his first win followed up by a win against Wycombe and then a draw against Lincoln, 7 points from 9 would be a brilliant return and is doable I think.

Underwhelmed
at 11:50 17 Dec 2021

Might be his first "manager" position but he was held in high regard by Jose and promoted to first team coach by him something which I'm sure doesn't just happen especially at a club the size of Man United. He then stayed on as part of OGS coaching staff and also Rangnicks, it's been said he is a student of the game and will study every opposition team to find any weaknesses and exploit them. Not that he needs it but one other person who speaks highly of him is Jim Magilton, so if Magic thinks he is a good coach/manager then thats enough for me.

His Wikipedia page has been changed to say Ipswich Town F.C assistant manager as well 😂 I know anyone can change that but that would be one of the best bits of business if Magic came with him as his no.2

Jim Magilton speaks highly of him so that does for me to get behind him, plus he has been well praised at Man U by Jose and Rangnick as well

He's currently out of work after leaving his position as sporting director at Dunalk F.C in Ireland. It's also been said that whoever comes in would potentially be a young manager with an older more experienced assistant manager, if the owners, Ashton and O'leary get this right (which I'm sure they will) then this could be one of the best appointments yet at the club.

McKenna is certainly an intertesting left field appointment
at 14:36 16 Dec 2021

I follow a lot of Manchester United news as my father in law is a massive fan and they definitely have some very talented younger players who are too good for the u23s but not quite ready for the main first team, I wonder if McKenna becomes manager we could get a couple of them in on loan for the rest of the season. Not normally a fan of loan players but if they are an improvement of what we currently have I would take them to help us push on for the end of the season. Playoffs are still possible so lets try and get there at least.

F1 Grand Prix - football analogy
at 15:34 13 Dec 2021

Much like Horner crying saying we only need one more lap?!

The rules state that any lapped cars can unlap themselves, it shouldn't have been the cars in between Hamilton and Verstappen can unlap themselves but the rest have to suck it up and be a lap down and when cars unlap themselves the saftey car must do another lap which they didn't.

Exactly, also what was the point in "saving" the engine in the last race of the season if it goes bang during the race then so be it its not like the engine will be used next season.

The whole thing just stinks really and means the season ended on a sour note rather than one of racing between the two best drivers on the grid. Both deserved to win the championship but that was taken out of their hands.

Maybe it was Jean Todt who told Masi to do what he did so that Schumacher's 7 titles didn't get beaten?

Completely agree with this.

Masi has "engineered" the race result. There are 2 options I feel he should have taken which wouldn't have caused this issue. The first is he red flags the race when Latifi crashes therefore allowing ALL cars to have a free pit stop and put on fresh rubber that way both Hamilton and Verstappen would have put the softs on for a 5 lap shoot out so to speak. The other option he had if he didn't want to red flag the race is leave the lapped cars in between Hamilton and Verstappen who once the track was back to being green again would have all received blue flags to move out of the way which would have happened in the first part of the lap leaving the two drivers to race for the final section of the track.

Masi has a lot to answer for however I can't see the FIA changing their mind as they will basically be blaming themselves and saying we got it wrong which they will never do. What I can see is Masi potentially being removed as Race Director going forward.

Mowbray gone from 50/1 - 8/1
at 15:55 9 Dec 2021

With him being out of contract at Blackburn in the summer could our owners and Ashton be thinking to give JM till the end of the season as interim and have a deal with Mowbray to come in at the end of the season?
