I don't want to jump into the political side of things but what I find astounding is that the videos are posted to twitter within minutes of it happening. You are in an active shooter situation but they are so keen to post on twitter that you basically get to cover and upload your horrific video! And yeah, it's out there for all to see without any type of search required. He could have been shot on a operating table with surgeons prepared but he was effectively dead within seconds. Will mess up my brain for a while. Also, just my penny, I think desensitizing from the wars in Gaza and Ukraine is a thing..it can be covered everyday but our attention span gets drawn to more 'viral' news articles. Not right but it seems to be the way media is. Almost like an expectation, I guess? |

Confidence is a hell of a thing. Last time out in the championship, flying high it didn't feel like we would lose. It doesn't matter how many players we bring in, the current morale must be low just because we have not won games for the last 16 months. I don't understand the need to shuffle the squad again for the 3rd window straight, some head scratchers for sure. I understand why there is some concern but we haven't had one of our own score a goal from open play in 3 games. |

Call me naive but what purpose does the EFL fit and proper actually have? This happens way too often, why can't they force the guy to sell? Or even just take it off him? I mean the government stepped in for Chelsea FFS (ok under extremely different circumstances) but clearly they should have powers to prevent clubs dying. |

Just watching the documentary stuff. So cringe. Also on Friday, I reckon there will be at least 5 minutes of pre-game pyro. St Andrews will be lit up like Wrestlemania! |

Not interested in being cheered up, let me just wallow in this sadness. Playing James blunt on loop until the cricket. [Post edited 25 Jul 8:48]

Not buying it, even some of the original source tweets turn out to be rubbish. I don't think he will move this summer unless a massive club come in for him. He owes a lot to McKenna and you would hope he at least gives us half a season before moving on depending where we are in the table. |

Can't win a test match if you can't take 20 wickets. Bowling attack is always looking light, as much as I like Archer, not sure he is the answer. Also, conceding a 1000 runs in a test match too is just embarrassing. The pitch has to take some flak for that regardless but bowling/fielding has all been poor. You'd think you if scored 700 runs you'd win a test match but it's only batted in 160 overs! Slow the f down, you get a draw in this game and you still lead the series. |

Well bosnich is the other. Annoyingly Kolo Toure was not Chelsea but Citeh, no idea why I thought otherwise. So that's three. Apart from Rio Ferdinand, I can't think of many other players suspended for drug offences. Very bizarre. [Post edited 18 Jun 23:04]

Drugs/drugs bans and Chelsea FC. I can think of at least 4 players off the top of my head who have been banned for drugs whilst playing for Chelsea. I think I would struggle to name any other footballers done for drugs on the last 40 years. |

The one transfer that didn't happen but I will never forget the whole drama of it, is Jimmy Bullard pimping himself out to the scum before he signed on a perm with us after his loan spell. Maybe my timings are slightly out but there were a couple of appearances including on Soccer AM as a guest, where he was proper angling for a move, saying they were a great club (blurgh) It really wound me up and instantly made me dislike him, regardless of his performances on loan for us the 6 months prior. |
 | Forum Reply | Woolfy off? at 12:52 28 May 2025
He looked really decent in the games he played at this level. It would be an incredible shame to lose him. Not going to read too much into posts and body language at the LOH. I know we spent the money and gave it a good go. Part of me wishes we gave the championship X1 a good run out in the Prem with a sprinkle of quality and depth instead of signing a whole new first team plus. We might have ended up on less points but we will never know, the spirit we had last year has certainly gone regardless. Hindsight I guess. I feel as though this is going to be another long summer of sighs. It's always sad when players and staff on this journey from L1 to Prem leave. If Woolfy or Cam or Chappers or Broady, I will be pretty gutted. |

When you look at Palace's team as a whole, you can see why we really struggled in the league this year. They are a side who are normally between 8 - 16th give or take. Their front three are leagues above anything we can put out, valued at £50m plus each! Add £30m sub striker on the bench too. The next big English player in midfield, two rampant wingbacks with pace and can defend really well. Three centre backs that have played for top clubs in Europe ahead of a very good goalie. It says a lot when the teams just above are us MU and Spurs. Tough league, only getting tougher. |

Eurovision, always nice to see. Politically voting as always, meh. General public consensus, death to all Brits. "0". Oof. |

I don't believe in decisions evening themselves out. We are still due some decisions from last year! |

No gripe with the fella but social media is vicious. What I will say is that when I was in George Square yesterday walking home, it was frigging bouncing. Great atmosphere. |

It was a good outcome at the time but boy has it all hit the preverbal fan. I have taken onboard every comment on here and incredibly appreciative. I am not going to lie but the last two months have been a workplace nightmare. I have let it bleed into my personal life and I let it nearly take everything away from me; it's too much and it isn't going to change. Tried time off, tried meditation, tried to focus my energy elsewhere but no dice. Just poor management attitudes, no humanisation of colleagues and everyone is miserable. It's the most toxic environment I have witnessed in the workplace. On two occasions in the past month, I just walked out to either sit in the park or go home to sit in a dark corner. I have documented as much as I possibly can and I have saved all my relevant HR and contractual documents. So I handed in my notice this week and the clock has started. I don't have a job lined up, I have a small backup to carry me through if I don't get a job before my clock runs out but I have spoken to the people around me and they are all supportive. I am terrified because of a mortgage and responsibilities but I felt free just unloading it and getting the support I need. I can't wait to put this in the past and just shake off this stain of bs. And I can't wait to take something on that is meaningful work again and be passionate and enjoy work. Sorry, just wanted to relieve myself. Feels so good. It's like just sticking two fingers to people who deserve it. *exhales* I will be seeing what I can do about employment law as maybe I have a case but to be honest, I just want to be free. |

I think that is a little bit strange to note the capacity when you look how Bournemouth have been ran since they were a yo-yo club not too long ago. They spent £40m on Evanilson this year but prior to that significant funds on Jordan Ibe, Solanke and it didn't pay off for them and they went down too. I think we are on a similar path, sure it might involve relegation but we are only going to get better as the club develops. |

I don't mean to be that guy but life is miserable as it ever has been right now. People are struggling in general, no wage growth, no investment in towns and cities that benefit people, COL, mental health crisis, it's winter (early spring) and in general people are more unfriendly. The lack of hope I guess. I am unfortunately one of those miserable c units mopping around so don't judge me! |
