I could not possibly care any less and if transfer dealings in pre season give you a meltdown then I would consider seeing a therapist. |

It’s got to be Wimbledon hasn’t it? I’m no great tennis fan but the thought of watching a load of people cycle around for hours on end is even more boring than the thought of doing it. |

Very thankful for EC/UK 261. Got stuck in NYC last year when the dogsh1t airline I was flying with, which rhymes with Borse Batlantic, cancelled the flight home a few hours beforehand and, having no codeshares, the next flight was 36 hours later. Got a full refund though had to ask the CAA to step in to force payment because the aforementioned dogsh1t airline don’t respond to customers and have no contact details. |

They seem to be buying players who on paper are at least cut out for this level if not perhaps too good. They don’t seem to be cherry picking the best talent from the division below and hoping they can make the step up so currently it’s probably more like 22-23 than 24-25. [Post edited 7 Jul 10:21]

It was high 30s low 40s a couple of years ago wasn’t it? 2021 or 2022? I remember going outside and it feeling like an oven and being on the tube and wondering how I was still alive, but this year so far at least I haven’t felt the heat all that much, it’s not had any real effect on my comfort or sleep. |

To be honest I haven’t expected any real coverage because this is what I expect from summers now. I’m too young to remember the summers of the 60/70/80/90/00s so heatwaves and grass turned to straw is really all I can remember. I have had to keep reminding myself it’s only June though. |

Who do they think this is for the benefit of? Who actually gives a monkeys about interviews with footballers & managers? Pre, post, and now mid match interviews all full of the same inane questions and stock answers for a few people to analyse to death whilst the vast majority of people pay no attention whatsoever. |

Well this has worked out strangely. Spent £15m on an inferior replacement and driven a better player into the arms of another team for free. That he chose Swansea of all places makes it even more confusing. |

How do you know it’s rubbish if you’ve never watched it in your life. I watched it up until about halfway through Matt Smith’s tenure but haven’t seen it since. |

Reads to me more like he’s referring to the Premier League season. Though I wouldn’t blame him either, unnecessarily replaced and we were no better for it. |

Just musical taste innit. Some people think the likes of Drake are good, I’d rather cut my own ears off with a rusty hacksaw than listen to him open his mouth but each to their own. Political voting is 100% a thing but you can only politically vote for someone as Israel’s national broadcasters orchestrated this year and last, not against someone. It’s why they brought in jury voting, because the Eastern Bloc and the Scandinavians would just all vote for each other. But there isn’t a conspiracy against the UK to always give us 0. Switzerland got 0 too despite high jury scores. I think it’s a very UK-centric view to think that we’re the centre of our own universe so we must be the centre of everyone else’s too and the European public is just waiting for their moment each May when they can really stick it to us. Just more often than not the song isn’t good enough to make the top 10 in most people’s opinions. Sam Ryder was good enough and he saw the rewards. Anyway it doesn’t really matter, certainly not enough for Sun readers to get all upset about and start calling for boycotts etc. |

Depending on the audience it may not be something I freely admit but I’m a Eurovision obsessive, I know all the songs, I’ve been to Sweden to watch their national selections. I know it’s a bit of kitschy fun for most people but I genuinely love it. I thought our song was a bit crap, it’s my subjective opinion but that’s entirely what the televote captures- the subjective opinions of random members of the public. The jury may beg to differ and that’s fine because they’re the professionals. The song chimed with them, it did nothing for normal members of the public across Europe, myself included. For what it’s worth this is my ranking from last night: 1) Austria 2) Estonia 3) Albania 4) Finland 5) Iceland 6) Sweden 7) Spain 8) Latvia 9) France 10) San Marino 11) Denmark 12) Greece 13) Luxembourg 14) Germany 15) Ukraine 16) Norway 17) Poland 18) Armenia 19) Switzerland 20) UK 21) Norway 22) Malta 23) Lithuania 24) Italy 25) Portugal 26) Israel |
