| Forum Reply | Nerves wise how does this compare to last season? at 16:35 3 May 2024
I was nervous before the Hull game, but not since. Last season I was a nervous wreck in the concourse at Oakwell before the game, and not again afterwards. We’ve got a hell of a team, I bet they’re not nervous. |

Think of the partnership with Davis though. Getting on the end of those crosses. (Sorry) |
| Forum Thread | A Cancer Research Sponsorship plea at 12:21 2 May 2024
Hey everyone, I’m rather shamelessly taking advantage of the goodwill we all feel the moment to plug my plea for sponsorship to support Cancer Research UK. The corporate world I operate in has sent a team to play in a football tournament at Craven Cottage at the end of the month. I’m very fortunate to be in that team. Overall we aim to raise around £80,000 for Cancer Research and I’ve been tasked with raising £500 of that. I appreciate that unlike many sponsorships appeals this one doesn’t really include any form of personal hardship and playing on the pitch at Craven Cottage is a privilege usually reserved for King Morsy and the like rather than a trial. That said every penny raised will go to Cancer Research UK. If you’d like to donate I’ve left the link below, fundraising started yesterday and the tournament is at the end of this month so it’s a bit of a tight turnaround but a worthwhile one. Any contributions big or small will be gratefully received. Thanks! https://www.justgiving.com/page/james-hedges-1714555181902?utm_medium=fundraisin |

Was in Coventry earlier and thinking of doing the same but didn’t fancy sitting on my hands in the home end. No nerves from me so far though |

I will be in Coventry, but don’t have a ticket. Might hang around the stadium and try and peer through the windows |
| Forum Reply | i feel sorry for Christian Walton. at 01:01 29 Apr 2024
Because he’s an objectively better goalkeeper. Hladky has done great and made some great saves but Walton is no mug when it comes to playing it out and last season didn’t cost us as many goals from goalkeeping errors as Hladky has. [Post edited 29 Apr 1:02]

Full disclosure that I didn’t watch the game and haven’t seen any highlights but on the evidence of the rest of the season, Hladky and catching the ball don’t go together. |

I don’t think so. I’d like Norwich to lose, Ipswich to win, and then Norwich to lose again so Hull can take the last playoff place if we are unfortunate to have to compete in them |

Boring football, one dimensional tactics and no atmosphere or boring football, one dimensional tactics, no atmosphere and a bellend in a body warmer? |

4 into 2 is better than 2 into 1 isn’t it? Especially when two of them play each other on the last day. If Southampton can beat Leicester and Leeds and somehow lose to Stoke we’ll be in dreamland. |

Made even more remarkable given that Grant Holt himself could barely stay up on his own two feet. Edit: an observation already acutely made [Post edited 23 Apr 14:46]

So the time wasting from Leeds in added time doesn’t get added on? Fantastic. Love the consistency. |
