 | News Comment | Former Blues Frontman Sears Joins Daggers at 17:24:00
I'm only surprised this has taken so long, because it seemed the obvious move, geographically. I hope he's managed to stay fit during this long lay-off, and wish him all the best. Not the great career his early days at West Ham promised, but seems to be hugely popular with other players, including the opposition. There are some good games in the National league these days, and I hope he enjoys them. |

"We want to challenge them, we’ve got the challenge that we don’t have a home stadium, so you might have to travel on Wednesday night than you might want from a game." Absolutely. |
 | News Comment | Port Vale Sack Boss Clarke at 11:36:47
Blues 1, I think this is really unfair:" Feels like another club who think they are bigger than they actually are and have some divine right to succeed." In the truncated Covid season, PV were in good form and in a strong position when the season ended prematurely. When other divisions were squabbling about what was fair in the circumstances, in League 2 Port Vale graciously stood aside and allowed other teams to claim the play-off places which they were well set to qualify for. The Colchester chairman made a great point of thanking both the Carlisle chairman, who was the rep for League 2 and the new Port Vale board, for their handling of things. There was absolutely NO sense of entitlement from Port Vale. ( You may remember how much Tranmere kicked and screamed at the time.) |

Not many Town fans will have seen it, but it was sweet to see the way the Colchester players after the game pushed Al-Amin Kazeem forward to get the appreciation of the fans after his debut. |

In Welsh, words that start with a B start with an M when they’re in the dative. So if someone passes the ball ‘to Burns’ , he becomes Murns. ( on this basis , the ‘welcome to Bangor’ sign in Welsh is ‘croeso I Mangor’. |
 | News Comment | Aluko: There Was No Squad Culture at 22:19:23
'What I want and what a 21-year-old wants from a game are very different". The interviewer missed a trick by not asking him what he meant by that, but i guess it was that young players are basically selfish. |
 | News Comment | Barrow 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:04:24
Barrow fans won't like being referred to as ‘the Cumbrians', that being the nickname of Carlisle Utd. In Barrow they still like to think of themselves as being in Lancashire. |
