Elokobi: A Fantastic FA Cup Match
at 16:09:15

Have had the pleasure of meeting George a number of times last year, as he was coaching my partners boy for a while.
He's a true gentleman, and a top guy. Does so much voluntary work around schools and coaching youngsters for the love of it. hopefully after our game they can go on a decent league run and get back into the National league.

U18s Coach Jason Leaves Blues to Watch Son Andre at QPR
at 11:48:21

Love Jason to bits, and have so much time for him. Agree with 99% of what he says, but my only criticism, i feel that he needs to cut the umbilical cord and let Andre be his own man, seems to want to control a lot of Andre's career.
Maybe i'm being a bit harsh, as i'm not a parent, so can't resonate with him

Can Town Avoid Relegation?
at 14:29:22

Hate to pee on your parade, but you've spent a lot of time and effort on something that is completely irrelevant. Stats are a complete waste of time when predicting outcomes.
What if we do a Hull and win 6 on the bounce? what if we do an "Ipswich" and lose 6 on the bounce? You can't base anything on the last 6/12/18 results.
Simple maths is, we need to gain a minimum of 7 points on Rotherham, 5 on Reading, and 4 on Bolton....and we have 19 games to do it.

Blues Again Among Clubs Linked With Wimbledon Striker
at 11:32:35

Surely we need to be aiming higher than this. At 28, he won't get any better (although may improve slightly with a different manager). Have watched him a number of times, and is good for that league, but not championship standard.
Not for me - prefer a younger hungrier striker from the lower leagues

Blues Travel to Barnet in Pre-Season

Think i'll pop there too - not too far from me either.
Plus I've been to Barnet a few times of late. Hopefully we bring a relatively strong squad, rather than the U23's

McCarthy: Nothing in Barnsley Link
at 16:06:35

@essextractorboy - how many clubs in the top half of the championship would want MM as manager? It's only teams that will be fighting relegation. Would Sunderland fans have wanted him 12 months ago? I very much doubt it

Stuck in a Moment, and Now We Can't Get Out of It!
at 12:48:30

I'm getting a tad bored of the same old "criticisms" every week.
Oh Marcus doesn't invest, oh Mick plays for draws, oh we should play the Ipswich way etcetera etcetera etcetera.
Well, there is no "Ipswich way" - we played good football for about ten years! Football back in the day was different, there was less pressure to get promoted, there was millions a nd millions of pounds of an owners money riding on promotion. The team went out, played football and had fun doing so. These mega rich owners have in my opinion killed the game. They come here, chuck a hundred million or so into a club, and expect to get promoted/win the league/ win the champions league - well, only 3 clubs per season can get promoted, so some teams have got to lose out.
Lets face it, we are now just a mid table championship club living on past glories.
There are many other clubs in similar positions, teams that are stuck in no mans land.
FFS it's been nearly 40 years since we won anything, or were even a top English club.

Liverpool Still Eyeing Dozzell
at 11:04:11

ThatMuhren... would you prefer to see that starting XI playing in L1 and L2, or the likes of Skuse, Dougie and Chambers challenging (albeit pathetically) for play off into the premier?
It's all well and good saying we need to be playing "one of our own" - but if they are not good enough, then you they shouldn't get in the team just because of the fact that they are "one of our own".

Liverpool Still Eyeing Dozzell
at 10:02:01

As some of the posts above have stated, this is a non-story. Every premier club, and I mean EVERY premier club have scouts at lower league teams, so all will be aware of Dozzer. He has a bright future, with definite potential. The figure of £2m quoted is just a figure, and in all fairness, that's probably all he is worth today. He's only 17, and has had, what, three starts? He won't be going anywhere for the next couple of years, where hopefully he gets time and progresses. I am of the mantra that if you are good enough, you're old enough to play, but I genuinely don't think that he is ready yet to be a regular. Give him a couple of games here and there, let him beef up a bit and get some muscle on him, and hopefully, with the right guidance from his old man, will get better and stronger and be a long term regular with us

Pardew: Williams May Need New Start Elsewhere
at 12:00:06

Why is everyone having a dig at Palace and Pardew?
He's their player at the end of the day. They are doing us a favour by loaning him to us, and we are doing them a favour by hopefully getting him fit by playing games.
I would guess we will be paying minimal wages for him (and probably only on a pay as you play basis) - I see it as a win-win for both clubs.

Bishop Hoping to Play Part in Top Six Push
at 09:28:31

Can't see him playing this season. As he's not due to be starting training again until March, and then having to play U21 games to get match fit, surely this will only give him a handful of games max for this season.
Surely it would be wiser to not risk him for this season and concentrate on getting fully fit for next season.

Championship Clubs Vote Against FFP Changes
at 09:48:33

I agree totally that the comment about clubs being punished ONCE (if) they are promoted makes a mockery of the whole purpose of the FFP sanctions. Clubs should be punished both financially and by points deductions - that will be the only way to stop them from flounting the rules. A club could therefore spend 10m on players, if they get in the prem, then they will be fined a small amount compared to the £60m+ they will get from being in the prem - no wonder clubs like Leicester don't give a hoot about the punishment.
Until they have serious punishments, then to me it's a complete waste of time!

With the play off final being on 26 May, i wonder if Mick will leave signing a palyer in on loan until the w/e of 22/23 Feb (otherwise a player will have to go back to his parent compaany before the play offs)
