| News Comment | Town in Talks to Sign Manchester United's Williams at 18:16:27
Oh grow up VanDusen. What a pathetic comment to make. Doesn’t matter who he played for - what matters is what he brings to the team and how he performs on the pitch. Get behind the lads for goodness sake |

For all the people moaning on here, it's quite obvious that no new signings are going to happen before Mark Ashton arrives on the 1st June. And why anyone is complaining about getting a proper back room team in is beyond me. |
| News Comment | Lambert: Evans is a Very Good Owner But We Have Running Battles at 08:33:01
North London Blue - Sorry to be pedantic but Evans didn't own the club when George Burley was manager that was Sheepshanks. Correct me if I'm wrong Magilton was manager when Evans took over - and he dispatched with him pretty quickly for Roy Keane. (I still massively get your point however just need a slight correction on facts 😉) |

Just adding to a few of the comments re McGoldrick, I don't think we can realistically expect him to be ready for the start of the season. He may have come back from injury for the start, but I imagine he would still miss the all important preseason - which really determines if he will hit the ground running. Look at Taylor for instance, come back to preseason flying, I have no doubt he'll make a massive impact at the start of the season, but in my view we can't expect this from McGoldrick when he's missing all preseason and just come back from a long term injury |

I could see this one happening, I'm sure Holloway has made positive comments about Ipswich before.. along the lines of he'd love the job |
| News Comment | Evans Still Backing Jewell at 08:22:15
Mr Evans should take a long hard look at the statistics - sounds like he is completely out of touch to me. Maybe if he lived in the local area and spent more time at games he would understand what the fans think. |

We all know the areas that need improving but I'm sure the first signing will be a midfielder!! Because we need more of those don't we?! |

@ Matt I wondered the same maybe he could fill right back...would be good to have two young players bombing down the wings! |
| News Comment | Jewell: Schwarzer\'s Loss of Form Could Lead to Stockdale Return at 14:09:36
Never an ideal situation but it takes time to get the right player in. I'd rather wait and have a better player than a panic buy. Stockdale is doing a good job between the sticks so not really concerned. Jewell is probably scouting the position now and maybe we'll see movement in January? |

Don't really think it's fair to say pass no experience. Cresswell isn't much older and he is arguably one of our better players. Look at Jones of United, Blackburn didn't worry about this lack of experience and neither did United. If he gets into the England under 20 team he must have some good qualities. |
| News Comment | Jewell: Enquiry Not Bid for St Ledger at 10:33:36
fallyblue - I think it was probably more the case Clegg and Evans had lost faith in Keane and therefore refused to bankrole new signings? Keane was given millions to spend and the team showed little in return - a fair reason for the club feeling hard done by! Under Jewell, Clegg and Evans are backing him just the same as Keane when he first started. |

@the beat - because most first team players receive £10k? Why would be pay £30k a week for a 32 year old in the Championship when it's probably the equivalent for 3 standard first team player wages or two key first team player salaries? At 30k a week, you value a 32 year old at £3.06million in wages |

IP3 must be living in a fantasy world of football manager! How you can possibly criticise Evans for not opening up his cheque book is beyond me and any other fan with a brain in their head. There is a WAGE STRUCTURE and Business Plan in place - it is to ensure we survive and operate sustainably within our limits. Not to run up huge debts and go into administration again - or did you miss that?? If you want commitment from Marcus Evans - how about buying £30million of debt, and pumping what must be in the region of £15million in transfers so far (at an estimate). If that isn't commitment from a Chairman in the Championship - christ knows what is! |
