Am I right in thinking Ward’s last game was the one he was captain in? Presumably that was a way of showing respect to him for his career as Cook knew he wasn’t going to play him again?
With Chambers not playing at all, do we think it’s because he has a similar contract clause, or because he’s staying? I can’t imagine that a player of nearly 10 years (who is also captain) would just be dropped without any final hurrah. If he doesn’t play Sunday, that would give a good signal he’s staying?

What strikes me is how much it MEANS to them. I know it does for the men’s game too, but there’s so much distraction with all the extra crap that comes with it, it gets lost.

I was there and couldn't believe it carried on. I get it was on Sky and Keane was giving the ref. the death stare, but it seems like a throwback to the 20s.
