Cisse was listed as an attack minded midfielder when on trial with Barcelona, so either that information was incorrect or he's recently had a position change. |

Jugsy - unfortunately now all loans count and have to be registered in the 25 man limit. So he would take up a space, as does Cam. |
 | News Comment | Ruiz Not Interested in Moving to Town at 03:49:49
Guys, the coach said the 'important club' line, not the player. And it seems to me the Spanish translation to English was a bit jumbled. I do not think he meant disrespect, but more so meant a club in a top division. |
 | News Comment | Luton Eyeing Al-Hamadi at 08:35:18
We tend to panic and reach for players around deadline time - ahadme, panutche and Ali all fit the bill. Some of these flyers work (eg Burns) but often they don't. Nothing against the player, but he's not at the required level. Remember the track record - Ali had a great half season in league 2, and before that was bounced out for free by a number of lower level clubs. His only success had been non-league. |
 | News Comment | Town Academy Awarded Category One Status at 04:42:39
Now, let's actually set about developing a player or two for the first team squad. Luke W graduated from the academy many years ago now, and Cam the only other academy graduate around the first team squad. |
 | News Comment | Players Return For Pre-Season Training at 05:31:37
Marcus, we're in desperate need for 2 centre midfielders and two forwards. No questions. Anything else may be a luxury. But we already have 25 senior players, so with every incoming there has to be an outgoing...and if, say, Baggott goes on loan we'll need a left sided centre half. If Cam goes on loan, we may need a 3rd centre midfielder. |
 | News Comment | An Outstanding Football Coach at 06:31:21
For whatever reason, he's been sidelined under the new regime and doesn't really have a job. Don't blame him for moving on. ITFC invited me to train/play for two years with the youth teams when I would visit in the 'winter' on return trips from Zimbabwe. Scowcroft and Naylor era. Bryan Klug was a through, even tempered coach who just wanted to make every player better. Funny, at that time he seemed so old to me, he was low to mid 30s! |

Great person, slowed by injuries. I don't think he ever fully recovered from them - he was never quite right since he joined us. I wish Dom nothing but the best. |
 | News Comment | Cajuste Offered to Udinese Report at 07:19:23
Timmy, Three of the 4 recently capped keepers for Sweden all play in the Championship...and one midfielder bizarrely plays in Cyprus. Another in Austria, which is ranked lower than the Championship. But agree it's getting less likely...and JC will have suitors in first tier leagues. |
 | News Comment | Tuanzebe Linked With Trabzonspor at 10:55:52
I'm guessing we're not offering a very long term contract. No way we would have offered Burgess a three year deal, so he made a prudent financial decision for economic security. Can see the same thing playing out with AT. |
 | News Comment | Burgess Joins Swansea at 15:19:04
Burgess always performed well for us, and improved immensely over the years. Understandable move. He needs to be playing regularly before the World Cup. I wish him the best. |
 | News Comment | Eight Youngsters Offered Terms at 03:53:09
Our academy used to be the crown jewel and now it's a problem. Something has gone wrong and I hope management knows how to reverse the trend. Luke Woolfenden is the only grad in the squad, with Cam Humphreys the only other one playing at a good level with a chance of breaking through. A club like ours needs to be developing players to be sustainable. |
