Orient are in their change kit as well. Their first choice at the time was white with red braces.

18. More than James Wilson that time.

£500 for a Copa replica shirt...
at 09:13 16 May 2025

The stats are all wrong. It's true that he scored 135 league goals, but that was in 539 games. In total, he scored 179 in 677 games but, yes, he is neither our record goalscorer (Crawford) nor record appearance-maker (Mills).

And there's a typo.

Sounds like it’ll be a Vardy love in on Sunday

Of course, but hopefully it's a last-minute consolation after Leicester have spent the rest of the game wasting opportunities in trying to set him up.

What colour
at 16:19 9 May 2025

The problem* with having two change kits and changing them every season is that we cycle through our usual away colours too quickly. In the last three seasons we've got through black, red/black, white, orange and burgundy. I would be in favour of the return of yellow and blue, but otherwise, unless we go for something new (which would feel a bit un-Ipswich to me), we're back to red/black, black or white, I reckon.

* Not a big one, I guess.

Tom Taylor's appearance on the bench means we finally find a place in the matchday 20 for one of our Academy players. We were the only PL side not to have done so before today, managing to fill all 660 places with "senior" or purchased players, despite all the injuries and lack of squad depth etc.

Indeed not, as we probably wouldn't have been promoted.

Arsenal have had more reds than anyone else in the PL this season, so pretty good, I'd say.

Southampton fans - What do we make of this?
at 09:06 7 Apr 2025

Anfield, May 2002

"We're going to Grimsby, we're going to Grimsby. You're not"
"Are you watching, Grimsby Town?"

etc

Ironic that we should choose Grimsby, really, given what happened a few months later.

I haven't really missed any out. It's the last [x] number of home games for each. The [x] is different for each team, granted, but that's just because these current bad runs started at different times.

It's the post-Christmas (ish) home form of all three that gets me. It's astonishingly bad.

Leicester's last 7
Leicester 0-3 Wolverhampton W
Leicester 0-2 Manchester C
Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace
Leicester 0-2 Fulham
Leicester 0-2 Arsenal
Leicester 0-4 Brentford
Leicester 0-3 Manchester U

Southampton's last 8
Southampton 1-5 Chelsea
Southampton 0-5 Tottenham H
Southampton 0-1 West Ham U
Southampton 0-5 Brentford
Southampton 1-3 Newcastle U
Southampton 1-3 Bournemouth
Southampton 0-4 Brighton & H A
Southampton 1-2 Wolverhampton W

Our last 9
Ipswich 0-1 Crystal Palace
Ipswich 1-2 Bournemouth
Ipswich 0-4 Newcastle U
Ipswich 2-0 Chelsea (yay!)
Ipswich 0-2 Brighton & H A
Ipswich 0-6 Manchester C
Ipswich 1-2 Southampton
Ipswich 1-4 Tottenham H
Ipswich 2-4 Nottingham F

So, all defeats across the board, apart from our Chelsea win.

Sleeves
at 14:10 14 Mar 2025

Town used to have to cobble together a long-sleeved shirt for Pitman as adidas didn't supply them.

https://museumofjerseys.com/2020/06/02/the-long-and-short-of-it/

"Adidas stopped supplying their tier 2 teams with long sleeves in around 2015, including the likes of Scotland (who were relegated from tier 1), Wales, Northern Ireland and club sides like Ipswich, Sheffield United, Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion. This initially resulted with in-house attempts at creating long-sleeved shirts by Ipswich and WBA for the likes of Brett Pitman and Joleon Lescott respectively. Ipswich took the sleeves from a Stripes 15 teamwear shirt and stitched them on."

Not sure Wycombe would be particularly keen to have him back.
