On all the other new Umbro kits I have seen, those that have the filled in central diamond have it in a colour designed to tie in with the kit. I think that's what they have tried to do with us, using red to echo the badge, but it doesn't work imo. White would have been better.

I find the best approach is to try to ignore the fees. Accept that you have to pay what you have to pay for the sort of talent the club wants, and hope/trust that those in charge aren't risking the club's financial future in doing so. I'd like all transfer fees to be "undisclosed", really.

The last two kits have been promotion-kit tributes, so could well be that the new one will be a tribute to the previous promotion - 67/68 when the shirt was all plain blue. If so, we had white socks during that period…
