Sheffield United tickets

Sad times when a 'Northern Norwich' game is relegated to b-category. Maybe we should announce we're re-signing Taricco for the night to add a bit of spice...

Seriously guys? Worst signing of the McKenna era by far. Lazy own goal scoring criminal - let's not go there again.

Are Leicester getting an unfair advantage playing a weakened Sheffield Wednesday
at 22:16 5 Aug 2025

In fairness we got away with playing a Bolton youth team just before their takeover in early season 2019. They didn't get much better and were easily relegated and for us it was as good as it got en route to 11th...

Reading two years ago was the main problem. That WAS an away end meant to have sold several thousand but only about half seemed to turn up. Wimbledon had some spaces too, but Reading the year before was a joke... Missed a very rare Town penalty shootout victory too!

Well they might - but if you read the new terms and conditions unless they go they may not get the point. Says they reserve the right to cross-reference data with the away club and rescind the point if you've not attended...

Wait til it hits +15 and +10 as I'm sure the pent up demand for away tickets from all of those moaning last year who definitely want to go anywhere and everywhere and not just Arsenal or Tottenham will see it sell out in 5 minutes...

Bromley tickets seem to be on sale
at 14:59 28 Jul 2025

I'd be surprised if it doesn't sell out with it being so full already and two weeks left to go. I may be wrong but, on paper, I think we might be the biggest club to travel down to their place yet in their history (although they did get Newcastle away in the cup back in January of course)?

I see - couldn't be a worse season to get them then! ;)

Interestingly I notice from the Bromley site they have changed the normal home/away seating for our game. Looks like we've been given the whole of the East Terrace standing (normally only about a quarter/third is for away fans) and there's a small block of seating in the (newer) Glyn Beverley stand next to it (instead of the regular away seating in the North terrace). My estimate would be it may be closer to 1000 on this basis? Certainly must be more than usual...

It already did weeks ago. They sold to home fans a few days after fixtures were announced...

Yes - I'd estimate about 500 or so too. Great little ground though!

Given the rigged joke that is the Premier League not even a real question.

Not a hope of a World Cup after this Paul Hurst-style appt, though. Yeah - course Delap wouldn't be able to cope with it whilst 'only' at a relegated club where he still managed to score double figures in the Premier League. Of course Ivan Toney must be better?!

I've never boo-ed England before, but after travelling for hours to watch that rubbish last night even I joined in.

Norwich and Manning
at 23:36 3 Jun 2025

Mm - not sure that's entirely fair. He got a very unfancied MK Dons side to the playoffs and then the club sold a lot of their best players and he had a bad autumn.

I rate him. Norwich are likely to be stronger for having him I reckon.

I'm astonished people even entertain this idea. He had one, maybe two, half decent - half decent, mind - games for us, and the rest of the time he looked disinterested (as if we should be delighted he was deigning to come down to play for us in the Championship), sullen and on occasions downright terrible (Reading, Watford spring to mind). We have SO many better options at full back now with Axel, Townsend, even Greaves and O'Shea filling in. And plenty of cash to get hold of a proper decent hard-working player.

He's a proven (convicted) reprobate, proven to fall out with fans at other clubs like at the Budgies (which I guess may be why so many people have given him some sort of benefit of the doubt possibly? I can't think why otherwise?). He might get a chance at League Two or National League level if someone's desperate and willing to take a punt Lee Hughes or Ched Evans style, but we're looking at trying to get up and establish ourselves in the Premier League for goodness sake?!

Mystifying?!

Own goals v Reading (after he'd practically given away an own goal against Leeds on the Saturday) and Coventry.

God no!! - the only McKenna signing worse than Muric!!! Never looked like he gave a sh*t, the other players clearly hated him, and he scored two own goals as well as costing us the six-pointer v Leeds with what became clear was his characteristic lackadaisical approach - and as for his last performance at Watford!?!

I've no idea why any Town fans rate him bar that one fluke run and goal...

Best and worst away fans at PR this season
at 12:57 23 May 2025

Liverpool easily the worst - shows what a bunch of hangers on and tourists they are.

I actually never thought I'd say it but probably Spurs were best for me - they did a fantastic rendition of Can't Smile Without You too.
