Yes - I'd estimate about 500 or so too. Great little ground though! |

Given the rigged joke that is the Premier League not even a real question. Not a hope of a World Cup after this Paul Hurst-style appt, though. Yeah - course Delap wouldn't be able to cope with it whilst 'only' at a relegated club where he still managed to score double figures in the Premier League. Of course Ivan Toney must be better?! I've never boo-ed England before, but after travelling for hours to watch that rubbish last night even I joined in. |

Mm - not sure that's entirely fair. He got a very unfancied MK Dons side to the playoffs and then the club sold a lot of their best players and he had a bad autumn. I rate him. Norwich are likely to be stronger for having him I reckon. |

I'm astonished people even entertain this idea. He had one, maybe two, half decent - half decent, mind - games for us, and the rest of the time he looked disinterested (as if we should be delighted he was deigning to come down to play for us in the Championship), sullen and on occasions downright terrible (Reading, Watford spring to mind). We have SO many better options at full back now with Axel, Townsend, even Greaves and O'Shea filling in. And plenty of cash to get hold of a proper decent hard-working player. He's a proven (convicted) reprobate, proven to fall out with fans at other clubs like at the Budgies (which I guess may be why so many people have given him some sort of benefit of the doubt possibly? I can't think why otherwise?). He might get a chance at League Two or National League level if someone's desperate and willing to take a punt Lee Hughes or Ched Evans style, but we're looking at trying to get up and establish ourselves in the Premier League for goodness sake?! Mystifying?! [Post edited 24 May 14:00]

Own goals v Reading (after he'd practically given away an own goal against Leeds on the Saturday) and Coventry. |

God no!! - the only McKenna signing worse than Muric!!! Never looked like he gave a sh*t, the other players clearly hated him, and he scored two own goals as well as costing us the six-pointer v Leeds with what became clear was his characteristic lackadaisical approach - and as for his last performance at Watford!?! I've no idea why any Town fans rate him bar that one fluke run and goal... |

Liverpool easily the worst - shows what a bunch of hangers on and tourists they are. I actually never thought I'd say it but probably Spurs were best for me - they did a fantastic rendition of Can't Smile Without You too. |

Precisely. I haven't trusted this 'independent' arbitration since it allowed Bolton to get off scot free with no points deduction in 2018/9 despite not fulfilling a fixture (just about the biggest crime I thought there was - as Middlesbrough in 96/97 could attest?!?!). As such I still don't recognise us as finishing bottom that season - that was a disgrace. |

Wimbledon had their club stolen, reformed and have worked their way back up non-league and worked damn hard raising money to buy their own wonderful stadium which is one of the best in the lower leagues for my money. Which is more than FC United have done in 20 years by comparison?! What a nonsense thread title! MK Dons are the villains... |

I wouldn't be over-surprised if Ellis Simms, out of favour under Lampard, becomes one of our new strikers next season if McKenna's still manager. Like Philogene, once they like a player these days, Ashton and McKenna seem happy to go back and try again don't they? |

Shocking amount of empty seats in the home stand behind the dugout for a match that is pretty much the highest level they've ever reached when crowds have been allowed! |

The point is that they are sick of being ignored and when they are considered in the media it is a pat on the head and how lucky they are to be playing such wonderful brands as Arsenal and Liverpool. If eighth is as good as it gets then stick your premier league. Like them I'd much prefer to play in an exciting league with genuine competition and that's why I can't wait 'til August (and secretly hope we don't make Top 2). |

In fairness I thought Leicester would get something today. Imagine if we had a chance to spoil Norwich's potential achievement this close to the end... Oh yes - that's exactly what we did in 1993!!... ;o) |

It's SO boring. What was more surprising was speaking to some Brentford fans who told me how they had really hoped to get relegated this season and envied us going back to the Championship! Obvs they were hoping now they could get Europe next season to "get to go to go to Azerbaijan", but would be really keeping fingers crossed that would also mean they'd fade in the league. Given where they are is pretty much the best we could hope for in the modern game, it doesn't exactly say much for what markets itself as 'the best league in the world'... |
 | Forum Reply | Muric - Persevere or Not at 10:22 6 May 2025
Frankly tho - it's not all about technique and skill. He has consistently displayed a "couldn't care less" attitude on the pitch which is backed up by the fact that noticeably none of the other players seem to have any sort of warmth and rapport with him - indeed he's always off on his own. Couple that with the record of being sent home from the Kosovo squad and I think he's a mercenary liability regardless of any potential at a club whose success has been built on ethos and hard work. I must say for a regime which says it apparently bases recruitment on character as much as footballing ability, there's been some big cock ups with first Williams and then Muric. I'm also unconvinced anyone who slaps "Jayden" on his shirt rather than his surname, despite no notable history of success as yet, is the sort of 'team player' that a team like ours needs... |
