| News Comment | Reading 2-2 Ipswich Town (1-3 on Penalties) - Match Report at 00:02:08
Certainly a hard one to watch although nice to get the win. Evans and Edmundson were very slow moving the ball around with the latter especially looking half a kick away from a calamity on more than one occasion. That aside it was a group of players not used to playing with each other. Ok we won and a great start to the season but can't shake the feeling we were victim of own own errors again |
| News Comment | Pitch Renovation Begins at 11:13:02
Phil. Could you perhaps ask if Mr Ashton could organise an update thread / timeline set of photos for pitch renovations? My other half is a Swindon fan and when they recently updated their pitch it was posted on twitter / Facebook every couple of days by their groundsman. It was fascinating to watch and I'm sure that loads on here would love to see progress being made were the club to do something similar. Knowing Mr Ashton this is probably well in hand already! |
| News Comment | Town Approach Authorities Regarding Bell Appointment at 13:21:29
I'm 100% certain as a pro level referee he would be completely impartial and would make as many good / bad decisions as any other referee. But each referee has to state their allegiances at the start of a season so cannot be involved in those games. But the EFL should see common sense and not let the referee be involved in games that directly impact their team of choice as well as in this case. It's just bad organisation by EFL and not fair to Charlton, Ipswich or the referee himself. |
| News Comment | Bristol Rovers 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 21:57:29
Perhaps KMcK is the right manager but maybe he needs an experienced head next to him guiding him through this tough time. Hard not to think the new players have made things worse. |
| News Comment | Bristol Rovers 0-0 Ipswich Town - Half-Time at 21:43:05
How many million have we just spent to go backwards? With this form we will not even make the play offs - with the pressure mounting up and up things might even get worse. Not sure how long our owners will accept this. |
| News Comment | Oxford United 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:41:44
The more we pay - the worse we play. Thankfully due to the fog those that could not get tickets were spared a lot of it on iFollow! Not sure I have ever spent so much time staring at the screen wondering where the players were let alone the ball! |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-1 Peterborough United - Match Report at 08:23:08
@Phil. This website is still brilliant but it getting spoiled by all the petty he said / she said comments. Opinions for and against the town are perfectly fine but not moaning at each other. Can you post a reminder of the rules before people just move away. |
| News Comment | Town Remain Second After Owls Draw at 21:14:22
Everybody is entitled to sing praises or moan - that's a right. We will not always agree with each other's opinions. But there is no excuse at all for name calling / offensive comments. Can we keep this in perspective and get behind the team. One point off the top - I think we would all have taken that at this point in the season after last year. Ok years. |
| News Comment | Simpson Huddersfield Deal Closer at 10:45:43
I hope this works out for him as, having watched him at Swindon a few times with my other half, he always put in a good shift. We may never know the full detail of what went wrong here (be this agents or whatever) but let us all wish him the best for the future and look forward not back. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Target Not Necessarily a Striker at 16:06:07
Given that he hasn't done too badly so far why don't we just let the person who actually does the job (KMcK in case anybody had forgotten) and stop poking each other. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Simpson Wants to Move On in the Summer at 15:12:23
Wow @Veggie - I'm sure TS would feel the same about your career as well if he read that. We will perhaps never know the true story here so the speculation about agents, attitude or even the club is just that - speculation. Let us just wish the lad well for his future. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Simpson Wants to Move On in the Summer at 15:05:10
I live in Swindon and went along to a few games at STFC with my partner. It was a pleasure to watch him develop and, I confess, a shame to not see him play out the season. Given how much he was missed by the fans when he left I would love too see him back there next season. He was unhappy to be pulled back “for contract reasons” in the new year and we will never find out the true meaning of that. Let us be positive and wish him the best - there are always two sides to every story I fear. |
| News Comment | Fraser's Charlton Move Confirmed at 13:12:21
Quite telling that the photos were taken in the dark - which presumably means this was all but done last night. |
| News Comment | Cook: We Should Have Been Given More Time at Town at 15:50:54
If Cook really was GameChanger's choice of manager then he perhaps would not have said that he had a problem with the fitness team and they were clearly part of the "bigger picture". So, as we suspected, he was not their choice at all. Saying that he was given a chance, allowed to re-invest (and then some), and then still couldn't get them playing. Just how much longer did he need to be able to count the fairies? |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-0 Arsenal U21s - Half-Time at 21:52:44
Glad Jackson had a good game but a real shame that Town managed to throw it away again. Also how can Piggott go from being such a weapon at Wimbledon to how things are now at Ipswich? |
