 | News Comment | Tickets to Women's Final Game Now on Sale at 14:04:17
Tried to get a ticket yesterday and apparently sold out. Pitty as I've supported the Women's team for ten years - not every game but three games a year or so, from when they were an amatuer set-up playing in the fourth tier and before the 'new' club house was built at what was then called the Goldstar ground. Will be a great occasion but assume they cannot be declared Champions until Hastag's result is known despite how superior the goal difference is - it has to be mathematically certain. I hope they parade the trophy at Portman Road at the next men's home game, preferably before the match or at half time so it doesn't coincide with the men's relegation. |
 | News Comment | Manchester United 3-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 07:58:26
Actually annoyed about this. Fulham beating Wolves oncTuesday was a gift and yet again we have failed to take advantage. No goal in this game was actually crafted. Ipswich goals were flukes and United goals from set plays given away cheaply. If we do go down, this game will be one we will rue - never a better time to play them and never a better chance with 45 minutes against ten men. We just didn't have the quality or knowledge how to break them down, looked pedestrian at times and opportunities to put the ball in the mixer not taken. |
 | News Comment | Robinson to Referee Tottenham Match at 20:08:41
The games when Tim Robinson has been referee have been quite fractious with too many interuptions from him. Referees are supposed to me anonymous, not the centre of attention. Hope he lets the game flow this time in which case I would be optimistic of a positive result. |
 | News Comment | Town Complete Palmer Signing at 21:26:08
Seems like a good and necessary piece of business done in super-quick time. Well done all concerned. |
 | News Comment | Town Agree Fee For West Brom Keeper at 15:45:18
Please let it happen. If we persevere with Muric, we will get relegated. With another keeper we wll at least have a chance. |
 | News Comment | Slot: An Almost Perfect Performance at 11:39:32
Liverpool are Premiership Champions elect. To go to Anfield and lose by 3 goals is not a disgrace. Granted, Liverpool made substitutions when the game was won and always looked like they had something else in the locker but Forest lost 5-0 to Bournmouth. Glad we got a goal and at least the travelling fans had something to celebrate, albeit consolation. Wolves and Southampton lost yesterday with Leicester away at Tottenham today. It's basically a race between the bottom four to finish seventeenth and avoid relegation. I honestly believe we will be the most improved team in the second half of the season of the bottom four. |
 | News Comment | Town Out of Bottom Three at 21:50:54
Been watching the live scores tonight. What a massive boost it would be if we can win tomorrow night and put some distance between ourselves and the bottom three. |
 | News Comment | Calderon: We Showed Town Too Much Respect at 02:41:37
Jack Taylor was in an offside position but when the ball was played through it touched a Bristol Rovers' player which surely makes Taylor on-side. What an awful miss from the spot - have you ever seen anything like that in your life. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: No News on Philogene at 19:19:39
There are news articles on the internet that his agent is in dialogue with an Italian Club about Philogene. The longer this uncertainty goes on, the more I think it is not going to happen - seems so reminiscent of the first time we tried to sign him. There maybe legitimate reasons why it has not been confirmed yet, not least that we are on the weekend, but if it is not confirmed within the next couple of days it will seem increasingly that Philogene is not willing to commit. My gut feeling is that his agent is pulling all the strings here - thank Heavens for Mark Ashton who will protect the Club's interests. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Philogene Deal Not Yet Complete at 15:38:40
I'll only believe this when it's confirmed bearing in mind what happened last time. Did feel that some were getting ahead of themselves with this, not least whoever updated Wikipedia that described Jaden Philogene, as early as Wednesday of this week, as an Ipswich Town player. Wikipedia has now resorted back to describing him as an Aston Villa player. Really hope this is confirmed in the next few hours. |
 | News Comment | Town Agree Philogene Fee at 23:22:06
For it to be a permanent move McKenna must be convinced. £20 million - Town mean business. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Omari Out For Weeks at 20:25:33
When I heard on Radio Suffolk it was a groin injury keeping him out today my first thought was that he is going to be out for a while. Depends on the severity but such injuries seem almost as bad as hamstrings. Disappointed we couldn't get it over the line at Fulham but still a good away point. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-4 Newcastle United - Match Report at 01:41:52
Newcastle dominant but if we are to survive more important that we beat the teams around us. Incredibly, if Wolves win at Leicester, we will still only be two points from safety. Although the third goal came about because we lost possession playing out from the back, generally I thought we did that well but then misplaced passes in midfield. Lack of threat in the last third and not enough options for the player in possession - it really did seem that Newcastle had more players on the pitch than us. |
 | News Comment | Town Submit Car Park Plans at 16:21:57
A little surprised that this land is only used for car parking. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was thinking in terms of a larger club shop, a conference centre associated with the Club or something else that would be a facility to bring revenue into the Club. |
 | News Comment | McKenna Celebrates Three Years as Town Boss at 10:40:18
What a remarkable job he has done. Keeping Town in the Premiership, if that can happen, with a newly promoted team including utilizing players who played under him in League One, will arguably be his greatest achievement to date. No doubt he has targets lined up for the January transfer window and obviously has good contacts in the game. Well done Mark Ashton and the owners too. |
