England v Andorra

Really enjoyed Dexter new blood - gutted they have said they not following up on yet and will do more resurrections- it was brilliant admittedly but not sure what else a second season can add that’s not too formulaic. I

3 big challenges for McKenna
at 10:35 3 Sep 2025

Davis rampaging runs worked first season as we were an unexpected force so teams didn’t give us as much respect as they are now. This season 80% of our games will be against a flat back 11 and they trying to break on us. It pretty much renders Davis old way of playing and role non effective as we have found. We will need now to break through middle, more quick interplay and exchanges which will take time for players to get used to each others patterns or wingers to actually beat their man to draw other players out of position. That’s reality of this season compared to 2 seasons ago. It will come but not expecting it to look good for at least another 7-10 games of same team and style. Having cajuste as per his previous display was a massive need for us to give drive through midfield and willingness to take a player on akin to Morsey. We will be ok but needs some patience.

So forgetting transfers for a second. Oshea

I don’t mind centre backs driving forwards and taking a risk - that’s what we are all bemoaning, so static, sideways, backwards etc. If he had got past the man and gone job a bramblesque rampage he could have created or scored but was tackled. I applaud him for trying and hope he continues to do so but some one in midfield recognising what to do when it happens again and drop back.

So the azon deal is off then.. perhaps because we prefer that 19 year old.
at 14:51 17 Aug 2025

That’s what I would assume/ we have the cash from the recent sales and need more actual players that belong to us and that we can hopefully mould and take into next year rather than lose at the end of the season if.m not promoted.

Maybe bidding on that Norway kid has changed what they want now we have the funds from the broadhead and Hutchinson sale so would rather an actual purchase rather than a loan.

Jack Clarke, I'm failing to see a footballer in there
at 14:17 17 Aug 2025

He’s not a right winger - I think it should be him or philogene on the left - one comes
On for another - we need another right winger and then we can have impact of philogene, Ogbene or who ever the other right winger we sign is and Chappers or new striker come on as impacts.

11 am is 7 pm in South Korea so you fine. It’s all perspective like
Having a beer at Wetherspoons Stansted before going on your holiday flight which is the law even if 6 am in the morning

We dont have the team that Leeds did, they didnt get rid of hardly any one. We have lost over half of our starting 11 and replaced with potentials but not up to speed replacements, also lost more than what was expected judging by Kmac comments. I honestly think it will take half a season to get the starting 11 we need and gelled together before we start seeing any results. Play offs will be an achievement if the squad doesnt improve.

I noticed that as well, it was quality positional defending and that a world class defender would have been proud of let alone a young budding midfielder. Like others said Cam flattered to deceive. We need a rampaging midfielder that can beat the press and strole through the middle drawing players towards him, we do not have this at the moment. Taylor cant do this, Cam cant do it either. Maybe Cajuste can a bit but letting Morsey go will most likely be our downfall. He blatantly was worth 2 years contract even if one year is wasted after getting us back to the Premier. One of the most Influential players of the last couple of decades being allowed to go for free is absolute mind shattering.

He is trying to hard if you ask me, he’s trying to take on too many players rather then giving and going - it’s just the pressure of trying too much too soon and buckling under expectation. I like
Him as a player and think he will come good. It will take us time to get the team to gel and for McKenna to have his starting 11 - we are basically at an impasse and McKennas at a similar position to when he first started and it took him 10-15 games to find his feet and starting team to build from. As long as we see progress I’m happy and for the time
Being am not expecting much with all of the new players getting up to fitness and transfer window to sort it self out first. Once that’s done I’m sure we will be good.

Hirsts header, Taylor’s header. Both good chances but poor executions. Although in fairness Stansfield had 2 big chances and miscued, stayed them when should have done a lot better.

Why is there such a debate about the penalty decision?
at 23:43 9 Aug 2025

Don’t even understand the hoopla over the disallowed goal - it wasn’t disallowed as the ref had blown for the foul before he had even hit the shot. It was essentially time wasting. Not to condone the ref who was appallling for the most part but it was a pen.

Yep would put my money on the Hutchinson line / who ironicly if goes
To Brentford could very well end up the same division as Middleborough and Hackney next season any way in championship.

Probably spoke to Hutchinson if I had to make a speculative guess who said he was off and is hoping for a move also / eyes bigger than his belly syndrome as he hasn’t done anything to prove him self close to a premier league starter. Bench warmer maybe but beyond that not sure he has the quality. And time will tell. Anthough would place a small bet to say he will still be a Middlesbrough player at start.

Hang on, I thought Philogene was rubbish
at 23:13 25 Jul 2025

He was poor on the right, looked good on the left for England u21 and against Liverpool on the left for his 15 minute cameo in the prem but beyond that he looked pretty flat footed. Moved back to the left and against Liverpool looks far more effective. Only issue being we have an expensive squad now for the championship so I would expect a 20 million player to rip it up but not sure he will be enough for if we are promote again. I hope he proves me wrong but like Clarke better in the prem than philogene.
