I don't think he is good enough. Bottled it against Norwich, another shocker against Swansea. I dont see why we dont dive into the lower leagues and pick up a few players on the cheap that are craving to play for a team like town rather than rejects from the premier league that dont give a t*ss where they go as long as they get paid at the end of each week.

alot of people on here saying they would rather a proven striker but still if we are chasing young talent this should be exciting news rather than jordan rhodes this and chopra that. at the end of the day we all knew and even keano knew after selling rhodes that it was a mistake and we have to put that behind us.
This is the kind of news i like to see Ipswich eyeing up lower league talent that has a great goals to game ratio.
we should be doing more of this and gambling on some players! at the end of the day id rather town spend little money on a player that could be perhaps valuble in the future of itfc.

You must have read my mind, but then again i think every town fan must be thinking why a new goalkeeper when we haven't scored hardly much at all last season and the recent friendlies. Fulop is a good signing don't get me wrong but I think murphy is capable for this division and lee barrett is a capable goalie should Murphy ends up injured.
I remember the good times of kuqi and Bent up front When i went to every game knowing if the other team scored 4 we would proberly end up scoring 6, long has that ship sailed.Town seriously need to look at league 1 and 2 teams and Find a good striker thats doing well and give them a chance.
We can tempt them to the club by the foundations we have stadium, fan base and training facilities also our history.
Come on keano get some players that want to wear the shirt rather than the players that want just the money as people that watched the games last year could tell most but not all the players seemed like they just played for the pay cheque.

Too long. Connor needs another 3 or 4 seasons at town to improve his skills and perfect his goal scoring abilities. He is hopefully the striker we have been waiting for to come off the academy conveyor belt and fire us to the prem... just hope the team can create the chances for him which im sure with confidence they will! |

I cant understand why people are moaning already. the season hasnt even started yet and all these comments about Keano not bringing in new players and not playing good enough teams in pre season......who cares. results in pre season and who you play in pre season games doesnt win the league ahead. Everyone should just back the lads for the new campaign and hope that keano can start this season hitting the ground running. We have very good players they just need to perform. |
