agree no one seems to be able to take the ball from keeper/defence like Morsy does.. and turns himself out of trouble (whereas we seemed to turn into trouble a little too often)..
Yep Jackson worked his socks off first half, and looked and looked strong at times.. just was too much expected of him. Not sure Hirst would have had any more joy. |

and Mass looked so much better second half. Dont forget its yet another new partnership and getting used to what the other does. Last game it was Taylor who struggled and Travis who had a stormer. i would love to know what would have happened had we got our trusted captain out there! |

seems forever a go he signed for us, didnt realise how young he was at the time tbf! Not sure what went wrong for him really he had talent but maybe not the desire to be the best, who knows. |

Thank you for this.... my dad loved sport, all sports, but in particular football! I am an only child and a female, and dad and I had an amazing relationship that revolved around sport - either taking part or watching. So from a very young age football was in my blood! I used to swim on a tuesday night, so we would rush to the game after my session and get in for free at half time! i remember standing with away fans one particular night (it was during the 1981 season and was the early stages of the UEAFA cup, i remember having to very carefully remove my blue and white bobble hat and put it into my bag, then refrain from cheering when we scored! I also remember sitting with dad in front of the TV watching every single moment of build up to the FA cup final, then recording it on a tape recorder with external mike - you can hear every eww ahhh and the massive cheer when Osborne scored! Lost my dad 18 years ago, but i never lost my love for Ipswich. I was at the play off final 9 months pregnant - ive always said this, i spent half my pregnancy in and out of hospital as my son didnt move in the womb, often a sign something is wrong. I kid you not at the final he kicked every single ball from inside my tummy! When Dan was born a few days later, a new generation of fan was born. He went on to become the original radio suffolk tractor boy and we spent every home game together (he now goes with the 'lads' but we still go to away games together and share our love for town.
sorry a lot of waffle but your post resonates, I miss my dad, but I will forever thank him for the passion he passed onto me for this amazing sport and a club that will live in my heart forever. |

it was minus 7/8 the night before, it looks like friday may go down to freezing not much worse, so no different from any other January cold spell. Surely they dont call off every time it goes down to freezing?!!! |

check parking and aircon at both? stayed in prem inn with no aircon recently it was absolutely horrid! Generally speaking though do much prefer them. but for one or two nights when you are literally going to sleep there i dont think it really matters so go back to parking and aircon!
the penta is funky but maybe expensive. |

def the travel lodge. Not sure how much Premier is in but thats in a good spot too by the waterfront. Closer to the station and A12/14 is the Penta hotel, again no idea of cost. |

but they have been unlucky against other decent teams - they have not been thrashed so far this season so just maybe we made them look bad but our absolute dominance of the midfield, something we haven't been about to brag about all season. Own the middle of the park and the rest falls into place. We have a decent back 5 but when the midfield is constantly loosing the ball they are under pressure constantly so something will give. We also have a great attacking line up but again when not getting the supply from the centre of the park you wont score. Last night all the ducks lined up. yes they were poor, but we were good! |

having watched back the highlights I hadn't realised last night how many of the goals Celina was involved in! I thought he was better last night and has started to look much sharper, but didn't realise quite how influential he was! I also love his clear love of the Town fans..... Was on the fence about him, wasn't sure what his attitude would be like dropping into league 1, but actually think he will be immense for us. |

The issue was so glaring on Saturday.... we have some great attacking players and good options off the bench. I dont doubt we can score lots of goals. But we are not bossing the midfield in any way which is then leaving the defence to work overtime.... so you are right no idea why we have 1 (and could easily have been 0) ball winning/break up players. Whereas ironically in the past our issue was playing two at the same time! |
