I suspect that Delap would have been in this squad over Toney if it wasn’t for the U21 tournament this summer. He trained with the full squad last time round. They know what he can do. Just a shame he won’t make his England debut whilst a Town player. His next choice of club is key however… |

But do you think if you put any of the managers of the ‘big 6’ teams in charge at either Southampton, Leicester or us in the close season(with the same resources), would any of them been able to prevent those clubs from relegation? I suspect not.. |

Morsy will either not be with us next season or if he is, he won’t be the playing influence he was in the First Division and last year in the Championship. Whoever replaces him is absolutely key to our chances of success |

Thought that a key moment last night was when Delap picked up a yellow for a petulant foul on Veltman. Against Chelsea, he bullied their defenders and they lost their head. Last night, Veltman played a perfect game of niggly fouls and general sh1thousery and won his duels. How he didn’t get a yellow until late in the 2nd half I don’t know, but if that happens to Delap, he just needs to be savvy. I’m sure that will come with experience. |
