|Derby - again|
at 11:50 18 Jan 2022
I see that there will be an urgent question in the Commons this afternoon about Derby County Football Club. Anyone have any idea what that is about? Has to be serious to get a minister to answer a question in the HoC.

Anyone out there know when was the last time we had a player reaching double figures before the end of October? Can't recall one but may justbe my memory.

Yesterday we had some new carpets fitted, here in sunny BSE. The carpet fitters were brothers over from Ipswich. The younger one, a Town fan, told me his brother went to school with Macauley Bonne. I mentioned this to the older brother, who isn’t much of a footie man, and he confirmed it, and said he was also friends with Bonne’s girlfriend. Bonne was, he said, a very nice lad, totally dedicated to his football, and a very keen Town fan.
The coincidence? The older carpet fitter’s first name is Macauley.

I want to watch Saturday's game on iFollow. I have registered but it appears I need to cough up £10 to subscribe to the video feed. I thought it was free to ST holders (I am one)? Can anyone help as this is new to me and I am not as IT-savvy as I used to be!

Tomorrow is 50 years to the day that I saw my first match at PR. A 3-2 loss to Forest, but I was hooked and have been a staunch fan ever since.

Anyone know when the club will publish details of pre-sale tickets for ST holders? I am being nagged on an hourly basis by Mrs B_B and don't really want to buy an album this morning to get advance tickets if I can get them as an ST holder.

I will kick this off. I watched it in a flat in Paris, being in Paris as part of a Government delegation for an international meeting all week. One of the local embassy staff asked us all to watch in his flat. So, lots of food and drink, and when we lost we decided to crack open the champagne anyway.
The next day the German delegation, considering they were very lucky to win, took us out for a liquid lunch, which was the last thing 5 hungover Brits wanted!

I think I met the famous Harry from Bath in the Greyhound before the game. A very knowledgeable and friendly guy and a true gent. And his missus kept up her 100% record of Seri g Town win.

I was looking forward to the Sheffield Wednesday game, I love the evening matches at PR, something I couldn't do very often until I moved back to Suffolk last year. Now the game is moved and we have tickets for the theatre in London that day, which we don't want to change (matinee, dog minder booked) so I can't go. Up yours Mr Murdoch.
