Let's face the truth. This has only been a problem since Brexit. The Brexit that was meant to control our borders and stop immigration. The Brexit all the right wing nut jobs, racists and xenophobes lied and truth-twisted people to support. Immigration has gone up since, almost all of it people of "a different colour or race". The people Brexit supporters wanted to stop or get rid of. If we were in the EU there would be: 1) legal routes to entry 2) through the Dublin agreement migrants could be legally and quickly returned to the first safe EU country they arrived in The Government has been as craven in appeasing the Reform UK racists and idiots as the last lot. If they grew a pair and rejoined the Single Market with a view to rejoining the EU - which at least two-thirds of the country support, this (and many other, mainly economic), problems) would be solved. But they appease Farage, who has 90% of the media in his pocket, including the allegedly impartial BBC. The BBC lead most news bulletins with small boats, they are becoming Farage's propaganda arm. We must stop sleepwalking into a horrible, racist, fascist future. If only there were some brave and principled politicians at the very top to enable this. |

 | Forum Thread | Concessions? at 09:19 16 Jan 2025
A fellow town fan (and OAP) I bumped into whilst walking the dog told me he had heard a rumour that the club were scrapping all concessions for tickets/STs next season. Now, I haven't heard this but has anyone else? |
 | Forum Reply | Bus Replacements Sunday then - Ipswich/BSE & Ipswich/Norwich at 11:56 9 Jan 2025
There are some buses which go direct or just stop at Stowmarket after the game (which keeps my missus less p!ssed off as she is cooking a roast) which take 45 mins. Same next Sunday which is a real pain. If only the Park and Ride opened on a Sunday....... |

 | Forum Reply | Beard care product recommendations anyone at 11:41 2 Jan 2025
I use beard trimmers (for goatee, moustache and sideburns) from a brand called Suprent. Available on Amazon. Good value and has long lasting battery. |

But he was interviewed yesterday for the EADT and made no mention of being injured. Very strange. |
 | Forum Reply | Boat crossings now out of control at 08:38 12 Nov 2024
But we can't send them back legally to France. We used to be able to then a bunch of numpties lied and as a result enough people voted to take us out of the EU where mechanisms to return these migrants (the Dublin Convention) existed. So the very people who wanted us out of the EU have the loudest voices in railing against illegal migrants. Add to that the number coming from war-ravaged Syria, where the Russians have helped Assad to wreck the country - the same Russians who helped fund/support the Leave campaign. Go figure! |
 | Forum Reply | Will the new stand go over the road or just cover it? at 10:58 23 Oct 2024
I wonder if they will follow what Villa did with the Witton Lane stand - that went over the road when they built the upper tier. Had to negotiate with the council first I believe but it did make life easier as the lower tier did not need demolishing |

Do the castle. If you have a day spare and want to go somewhere a bit different, get a train to Bamberg (about an hour). It is a world heritage city, absolutely beautiful and historic with probably the best bars and beer in Germany to boot. Seriously lovely city. |
 | Forum Reply | Is this the smoking gun that finally brings them down? at 08:02 13 Jan 2024
Listening to Alastair Campbell on The Rest is Politics, he said that the Blair Govt tried to take the contract away from Fujitsu , but the clauses in the contract relating to this (a contract from the previous Tory Govt) was such that the cost of doing this was GREATER than the contract value. So, on grounds of being prudent with public money, they stuck with them. Damned if you do, damned if you don't! |
