 | Forum Thread | Concessions? at 09:19 16 Jan 2025
A fellow town fan (and OAP) I bumped into whilst walking the dog told me he had heard a rumour that the club were scrapping all concessions for tickets/STs next season. Now, I haven't heard this but has anyone else? |

Just noticed that James Collins got a straight red on Saturday for Derby - I am assuming that means he will be suspended for their visit to PR on the 21st. |
 | Forum Thread | A few thoughts from yesterday at 11:14 14 Aug 2022
Having had time to digest the game yesteray (sleep being seemingly optional in this weather) I have a few observations and questions. 1. Did we make MK look poor or did they make us look good? Or a mix of the two. They certainly disappointed me (fortunately) but we didn't let them play their usual style much. 2. A lot of fans seem to make certain players the scapegoat. Seems to be Evans at the moment, but I thought he was vfery good again yesterday. He was always in space to receive the ball, whether from the CBs, from wide, from Morsy or from the attacking players. Whether MK just didn't bother marking him or he is good at finding space I don't know, but altough he did misplace a few passes, he is the one player in our midfield with the vision to pick out a pass and (usually) play it. But don't get me started on his corners - not that Chaplin's were that much better, especially the one that went straight into the side netting. 3. Davis had so much space in the first half he must have been wondering if he had forgotten to use deodorant when he got up. Really stretched their defending, but the amount of space did make me wonder about MK's tactics. 4. Walton is ridiculously good for this level, and his calmness and confidence must inspire those in front of him. And he, like both Edmundson and Evans, was not afraid to give Woolfie the benefit of his opinion loudly after he was a bit too casual. One such incident even got a very icy stare from JD! 5. Which brings me to JD. We all speak about his consistency, a 7/10 every game. Yesterday he was inconsistent, as he was at least a 9/10. Absolute star, sometimes he makes the game look so easy. 6. Still no goals from our strikers, but you can see we have a much greater goal threat from midfield than we have had for years so I can't say I am that bothered for now. But another striker is needed as keeping Ladapo and Jackson fir all season is a big ask. More performances like that will be much welcomed, but some teams will park the bus more - MK susrprised me, though, with how deep they played, really isolating their striker who, as a result, was reluctant to press our CBs as he would then have needed binoculars to spot his nearest team mate at times. |
 | Forum Thread | Help please re getting to game tomorrow at 13:38 12 Aug 2022
Thanks to the rail strike I was driving tomorrow but the car has just failed the MOT and won’t be fixed until next week. I live in Bury and have not been able to get hold of anyone today about the coach. If anyone can help or has any bright ideas it would be much appreciated. Cheers |
 | Forum Thread | Derby - again at 11:50 18 Jan 2022
I see that there will be an urgent question in the Commons this afternoon about Derby County Football Club. Anyone have any idea what that is about? Has to be serious to get a minister to answer a question in the HoC. |

Anyone out there know when was the last time we had a player reaching double figures before the end of October? Can't recall one but may justbe my memory. |
 | Forum Thread | Strange coincidence at 15:58 29 Jun 2021
Yesterday we had some new carpets fitted, here in sunny BSE. The carpet fitters were brothers over from Ipswich. The younger one, a Town fan, told me his brother went to school with Macauley Bonne. I mentioned this to the older brother, who isn’t much of a footie man, and he confirmed it, and said he was also friends with Bonne’s girlfriend. Bonne was, he said, a very nice lad, totally dedicated to his football, and a very keen Town fan. The coincidence? The older carpet fitter’s first name is Macauley. |

I want to watch Saturday's game on iFollow. I have registered but it appears I need to cough up £10 to subscribe to the video feed. I thought it was free to ST holders (I am one)? Can anyone help as this is new to me and I am not as IT-savvy as I used to be! |
