| News Comment | Leeds Thrashed at QPR at 22:37:50
As a schoolboy supporter of QPR when living in London I never saw Rangers play better in >150 games before tonight. After 20 years subsequently as a Town ST holder they have now opened the door to us finally getting back to the Premiership where we belong. Interesting to note Rangers had both Asmir Begovic and Jack Colback in their numbers who maybe are reflecting that their involvement to night helped their old team push forward tonight. Come on Blues, let’s confirm our promotion now!!! |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Change of Sponsor at 12:14:18
I'd favour Senekot as our new sponsors. If ever our club needed a very good clear out now is the time 😻 |
| News Comment | Lambert: It's an Absolute Disgrace at 01:01:11
Hopefully Lambert has now written his epitaph as I feel he has gone out of line from his superior - however for once I actually agree with him!! |
| News Comment | Loanee Georgiou Returns to Spurs at 18:51:11
Fully agree Bert. I think a pairing of C-V and Wolfie in central defence would give us a much more solid base. Something we've been desperately lacking in recent displays. |
| News Comment | Garbutt Back in Training at 16:23:51
Will be good to have Luke Garbutt back. We could really do with his strength to bolster our left side activities in the way Kane has improved our attacking down the right since his arrival. |
| News Comment | Judge Deal Reportedly Close at 19:18:35
Would be an excellent addition to our squad in terms of both ability and experience. Also not a loan which gives us continued option to push on with CV as a further solid defensive body. We may yet be seeing a remake of the ‘Great Escape'... |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Hurst and Doig Depart at 17:21:43
Good move. I liked Hurst at first but as soon as he was put under pressure you could see the ‘headless chicken' tendency which has proved his undoing. Important that this change was made now before we became cut adrift from the main pack. I just hope whoever takes over can make something positive from the rag-bag of lower league players they will be inheriting. On the positive side we may get a manager who understands the benefits of balancing the introduction of some of our very promising youngsters into the mix. What we now need is more consistency in the team line ups in our coming games to try and improve cohesive teamwork. Onwards and upwards. COYB. |
| News Comment | Reo-Coker Leaves Town at 19:13:44
Really pleased to see this outcome - MM has performed wonders since he came but I was beginning to suspect he might have a soft spot for NRK - I should have been more respectful of MM - I guess he's played him recently to make sure he had the appropriate info to make the right decision, which he has now done - NRK was a very promising talent in his younger days but clearly his legs have now gone - won't be missed... |
| News Comment | Leadbitter Turns Down Town Offer at 19:46:17
Personally pleased as it frees up PJs thinking for the midfield going forward - I know Leadboots has been good the last few games but frankly he has been a real disappointment for most of his Town career and I am not sorry to see him go - however, it is another example of us letting a reasonable player go without recouping any fee back, which is not good, but so be it - would like to see Hyam and Drury being our first choice midfield pair next season, hopefully with Bullard giving us something positive assuming PJ can drain his sinuses and more importantly get him less dependent on the pop!! |
| News Comment | Jewell Set to Meet Leadbitter on Wednesday at 19:29:38
Would be happy to drive him to any club wishing to take him on - never impressed me - always looking to pass back for safety rather than looking to create moves forward for team, totally useless at corners and pathetic at free kicks - have to say I would question PJ's judgement in giving him the captains armband when in the same breath commenting on how quiet he is - Reckon Andrews should take on captaincy as he is clearly a leader and not shy to speak his mind on the pitch |
| News Comment | Jewell Hoping for Goals from Bowyer at 20:08:48
With Lee Bowyer's welcome arrival now is the time we should sell off Leadbitter while he has a year on his contract and we can recoup some of the largely wasted money that we paid for him - this would be good business for the club and also get rid of the annoying habits he has of crabbing in midfield and playing the majority of his passes backwards!! - end of rant.... |
| News Comment | Wickham Set for Sunderland Medical at 20:51:06
OK - will be sorry to see CW go but, assuming PJ will have access to most of the initial £9m, this has to be an excellent deal for a relatively raw and premiership-untried striker - how many promising 18 year olds have we seen fall apart in recent years by 20? - nuff said - bank the cash and move on and up to the Premiership..... |
