Looked like a proper away end from bits I’ve seen on social media
at 07:32 19 Jan 2020

Apart from a certain club who didn't get sanctioned for a mass pitch invasion , while players were still on the pitch, who's fans then went to goad the opposition supporters. Two seasons later a couple of our own get done for spilling over the fence.

Labour would be crazy not to elect Lisa Nandy as their leader
at 16:35 17 Jan 2020

My wifes job was under threat when South Staffs health NHS lost their contract to run services in the area. She was advised to join Unite to help protect her job and working conditions which she consequently did as the organisation which were taking over the contract had a dreadful reputation. First meeting that she went to - which was supposed to discuss what was happening to her and her work colleagues - spent more time debating and talking about a resolution over Palestine , by a long chalk, than her potentially losing her job.

I'm not saying that the Palestinian issue isn't important but there are a lot more matters closer to home that need addressing and in not doing so you leave yourself wide open to claims of being out of touch.

Agreeing with you on that Swailsey. I've just got home to read that and I'm thinking where the hell did that come from ? No need to be snipey and add a sour tone after todays performance because it'll go down the end days of Mick road.

Well done Paul and the team, was good today from everyone.

It’s painful reading Evans’ latest nonsense
at 20:31 10 Jan 2020

Evans is a businessman, in what other line of business is it acceptable to come in to a promising company and then let it slide to its lowest ebb for over 30 years with little idea or strategy to recover its position ? Quite frankly, he would have been hounded out by Pension funds and shareholders.

Like you say, hopefully the return of TB will help that becasue the supply and support of our strikers leaves them an awful lot to do.

Jackson should be one of the first names on the team sheet. Its been mentioned above, but an attacking line of Jackson, Sears and Keane would absolutely terrify the clodhopper defenders in this league. Jackson on his own brings the opposition defensive problems, its not his fault that these are not capitalised on.

On the other hand, it could work out alright for JP as to continually go against a working class Northern woman would be a bit tricky for the media especially as BJ has positioned himself as the new champion of the working class. RLB will get grief all the way from the media as being Corbyn in a dress and I haven't seen enough of her to say that she'll go toe to toe with BJ in the same way that JP would. A ticket of RLB & AR would be a misogynistic media field day, it shouldn't be, but it would.

Anybody who gets the gig has got to call be calling the tories out and landing punches which I never felt Corbyn did enough of. The bloke had open goals and kept putting it well wide.

Evans has been caught out enough not to put something in there so that he doesn't end up paying for years of wages if not, he really is a mug. For PL, who I read as being a very insecure person, it might just balance him out again. Either way, a 2 year extension to the 18 months is kind of feasible, but 4 ?

Do you not think though that its more, if I'm getting your drift correctly, than installing a technical manager. I look to teams that have come through like B'mouth, Brentford and further back Swansea and WBA that had a vision, ethos and identity of where and what they wanted to be. In the Evans era we've been short termist which has mitigated against us going down that road and we end up with players like Edwards and Ward who can't go past opposition players or make an incisive pass. TBF to PL, he's stated that there needs to be a clear pathway from the youths , playing and learning a style adopted by the first team, so they can just feed in. We are only now recovering from RK ditching Klug and in all liklihood we're going to be end up selling off the likes of Downes and Wolfie rather than use them as the corner stones of a future squad. The only team I can think off recently that have become 'more technical' is Wolves and that cost serious amounts of cash.

I'm not one to berate ME and asking him to spend more money but I do feel that he made a serious error in, what was a new line of business to him, not getting a proper DofF as Delia did with McNulty rather than the likes of Clegg and Milne who's main job was to order the toilet rolls, and , it would have saved him money. Even if PL keeps the gig and makes structural changes over the long term, its going to be a long way back, however, we do need to implement a style of play that is beyond centre of the pitch 'head tennis' and someone who can adapt during a game, which didn't happen at say, Milton Keynes. Quite frankly, I'm near to the end of my tether with this football because it's been going on for years now and we should all want better and not just suck it up. Question is , have we got the players for that, is PL just breazzin' it or a bit of both ?

As for Mick, I think that he's one of those who will play with and to what he has and he does that damn well. I feel that fans need to look beyond that general conception of him and his football as he has more mitigating circumstances that the other schmucks.

Anyway, happy New Year to you sir.
