No COVID deaths for 24 hrs?

Seems to me that at our place exempt means a note from home and you get a little blue badge for your tie. Kids must sit in the seating plan so couldn't move them. Glad I am no longer SLT level though.

Good luck Mullet. Back for me tomorrow too. Interesting to see if masks in the classroom can be sustained. At least we haven't been offered an insult of a pay rise eh! Stay safe mate.

The Russell Osman interview, Bennetts and our forwards.

That's really my point. Good coaching will improve Bennetts and encourage greater movement from our forwards who will be rewarded for their runs with more opportunities to score.

like I said, he has talent and yes he did set up Parrot for his overhead kick. However, he even had to beat the man twice on that occasion and delivered a cross behind our player that would have needed a worldie to score. Parrot was probably ahead of the ball as he had already made his movement wanting the cross earlier!!!

Yep. Someone like N'Daw is a good shout. I said yesterday we need a Shaun Derry type. Enough football in him but the nous and experience to control the middle of the park more effectively.

The Russell Osman interview, Bennetts and our forwards.
at 14:47 7 Mar 2021

In the recent Blue Monday interview Osman spoke about Alan Brazil making runs and Arnold Muhren assuring him he would deliver the ball at the right time and Brazil should just make the run and not worry. Now before anyone says I should not compare Brazil and Muhren with our current players, I am not stupid, they are not at the same level. However, the principle still applies. How can any of our players be confident to make their runs when Keenan Bennetts has possession? He hangs on to the ball too long, fails to deliver when he has created the space and decides to go back and try and beat a man again. There is no doubt he is a talented player but right now he is stifling any decent movement from our front players. Cook either needs to say to the lad, create the half a yard and deliver the cross early (he could be quite devasting then) or bin him off. He is, after all, not ours.

Holy is a very poor GK

Too often caught on his heels, flat footed. 1st goal and shot that hit post prime examples. The free kick goal at Posh another one. He does catch some balls but nowhere near dominant enough in his 6 yard box for his size. Not a top keeper at this level, nowhere near. Cornell no better tbh.

Freddie Sears thought he could still do a job in the Championship?
at 13:38 7 Mar 2021

Was genuinely jogging after giving the ball away that led to the second goal. Jogged all the way to the edge of our box as it went in. Kenlock was at full pelt tbf but not Fresh Legs Freddie. He looks to be carrying a bit of weight to me. Then to repeat a misplaced 10 yard pass 10 minutes later which started the calamity of the third was dreadful. How do other clubs with lesser resources keep finding more effective forwards than us? Let's face it, Freddie's finishing has always been poor too. I know Mick is supposed to have ruined him playing him wide but I seem to recall him missing countless opportunities from that position until one hit him and went in at Sunderland. His time should be up here in the summer.

We need Shaun Derry type in midfield.

An experienced destroyer to control things and allow the Bishop's, Dozzell's et al to go and play. Not sure Downes is genuinely that sort, well not yet anyway.

Elliot and the the jockey pictured sitting on (different) dead horses. If the BHA don't ban the both then shame on them. Owners too, they need to remove their animals from his yard and insist trainers never use that jockey. If Tiger Roll is at Aintree and Elliot is still training him, then I hope crowd don't forget what this despicable cretin has done.

Maybe in the long term Joe with some judicious recruitment and squad culling in the summer. From now until the end of the season I hope he plays a system which suits our players instead of trying to shoehorn them to something they are not able to do.

Jackson and Nolan really should be on the bench. Wolf also should be there. He can play in multiple positions whereas Ward is both past it and somewhat one dimensional these days. Drinan is just a willing runner. You are quite right with Norwood. Keeping him fit is crucial. Parrot's work rate should take some off Norwood's shoulders. A new manager bounce on the back of a decent points haul over the last 7 games and things could get exciting. Makes sense now that Evans did not get rid of Lambert months ago.
