 | News Comment | Town Complete Palmer Signing at 21:30:41
Welcome to ITFC and good luck. Much needed signing. As much as I feel sorry for Muric and as much as I think on his day he can be immense (Brighton away) I feel we have lost lots of points because of him. |

Good to hear this. Too good a player and character not to be playing. Much maligned at times but in the end proved to be a solid signing and a dependable player. Would have though he could have played at L1 or Championship level. Best of luck JD. |
 | News Comment | Fulham 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 20:09:39
A bit gutted as for a large majority of the game I thought we would take 3 points. On balance a draw was probably a fair result. The back 3 looks very solid now and I think Walton’s introduction has given the defence confidence. Generally I think it bodes well for the 2nd half of the season. Godfrey is a very shrewd signing and he won’t increase our squad number (in terms of max of eligible players). If we can get a decent striker as a back up for Delap that would help also. Based on average points to date we only need to improve a bit to stay up. I have much higher hopes that we will stay up than after I watched the Newcastle game. COYB! |

A Merry Christmas to all of you! Thanks for such an informative and cutting edge website! |
 | News Comment | Cajuste: Incredibly Frustrating at 13:28:25
Cajuste was our best player until he went off. I would have kept him on but in KM I trust. Disappointing performance yes...but we will play better and that home win will come. Fine margins again....Greaves will be disappointed with the goal and at the other end that his header hit the post. If we had secured a point the posts on here would be considerably different. Lets move on now to the Bournemouth game.... |
 | News Comment | Ashton: We Need Answers, Howard Webb to Meet Us at Portman Road This Week at 22:39:03
I agree with Warwick blue. It won't get us the points back. At 2-0 on Saturday Leicester would not have come back. We would probably still have lost the Man City game.....even if the trip on Leif had given us a penalty....we are down at least a few points from where we should be. Interesting about Wolves....they were denied a win against Man City due to a debatable last minute VAR decision. I'm certainly no conspiracy theorist....and never thought I would say this but I think there may well be some subconscious prejudice against the PL's smaller clubs when it comes to big refereeing decisions..... I think the best we can hope for is that we lay down some sort of marker that we will not be quiet about this and I expect that Webb will have an uneasy day at PR. Rightly so |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-2 Everton - Match Report at 18:07:29
Dunno. Thought the defence was poor today. We sorely missed Tuanzebe and Greaves. Woolfenden looked off pace, Burgess was slightly better, maybe because he's played a bit of international football recently. Defensive frailties yes but a bit worried about our lack of chances. Delap worked so hard but he was out fluffed by Everton centre halves.... Onward and upward! There will be better days! My day was made better by a long chat with Jason Dozzell pre match. Found him a humble and genuine guy. |

 | News Comment | Mowbray: I Feel Almost Back to Normal at 20:33:44
Great to hear. Was an integral part of the last Ipswich team to gain promotion to the Premier League. Beside being a good manager he is also a top guy, humble and well liked. Hopefully won't be long before we see him back at Portman Road and back in football. All the best TM! |

All the best Freddie. Was criticised a lot but his goal record was decent and was a handful to opposing teams. Will hopefully find a Championship or high end League One Club. Always welcome back at PR. |

I'll be right behind the lad of he signs. But dunno about this one. His goals per game ratio is low. As is Hirst and Delap even at championships level. I'm a bit worried about the striker position. Given we have a few false 9s and players who can score from behind I feel we need a 15 goal a season premiership striker to have the best chance of staying up.... That said he's maybe the one #inKMwetrust |
 | News Comment | Manchester City 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:12:19
Harsh reality of the Premier League hit us straight between the eyes. Mistakes are being punished. Brave performance in many ways. Szmodics took his goal well. Agree we should have had a pen. Muric cost us a goal. Leif has not had the best start to the season. Good thing is we have the city game out of the way now. Need to start picking up points now as we have a run of games where we should at least win a few and draw a few. Not panicking yet - when we have played 10-12 games we will have a better idea where we are at..... |
